bon odori

BonOdori3

Bon Odori Festival is a Japanese Buddhist observance honouring the spirits of ancestors, who return once a year to visit their families. Traditional dance is performed to entertain the spirits of the ancestors. Bon Odori 2008 attracted around 50,000 locals and tourists. Fireworks of 15 minutes will be display at 10.00pm.

Wahidah - Plan nak gi. Tapi ada kenduri hari Ahad. Malam tu nak tolong-tolong pihak pengantin. Ahad tu jadi pengapit pengantin lelaki. Sedih betul.

Yeah this event suppose to be fun! :D I really want to go but can't confirm yet. Maybe I can just skip the wedding preparation and also badminton training?

Is this held in Penang every year? I thought they also held it in KL last year?

foong - almost every year :) yes, they will be there in kl too this year. guess, kl and penang is still competing with each other. LOL.

Japan has their own culture. It is nice to know their traditiob like traditional dance.
We can enjoy the dance show and understand its culture as well.
