Say something nice
I have finished reading this book last Friday. Yes, I do read other books too instead of finance. This book I bought from Dr Zaitun who gave us seminar regarding Stress Management. Instead of being a good teacher and counselor on how to deal with stress and anger, she taught us about good foods too! The best parts were her hypnosis and reverse psychology.
This book is actually focusing more on marriage. Yes, on how to maintain a marriage. But I managed to read it till the last page because instead of maintaining marriage, this book also teaches us how to be a better person before we hope people around us to be perfect.
Usually we are tending to find perfection in others but we have forgotten about ourselves. Are we good enough? We often think we are perfect and others are not. This will lead us to selfishness instead of being rational.
Say something nice. Describe everything. Why do we find it's hard to say something nice to others? It's because we don't appreciate them. Why we don't appreciate them? It's because we don't appreciate ourselves. Why we don't appreciate ourselves? It's because we don't even say something nice to ourselves! Simple isn't it? But some of us have a hard time to do this simple thing.
When we say something nice to other, we feel that the person doesn't deserve. When someone says something nice to us, we often think the person is being ridiculous and kisses our ass. These negative pictures always haunted us and prevent us from being nice or even say something nice to others.
Why is it so difficult to say "Hey, you look great today!" to our colleague? Why is it so difficult to say "You are a great mom and I love you so much!" to your lovely mom? We become shy to say good things out but we don't feel so to say harsh words out when we are mad. Weird isn't it? So do you want to be that weird alien instead of well accepted human being? Think.
Again, before you want your husband, wife, kids, family, colleagues and friends to say something nice to you or be nice to you, do your part. Yes, some of you know that I believe in karma. What goes around comes around.
Have a great weekend guys!

that's really truth...
ReplyDeletememang sometimes kita akan tend untuk say harsh word easily rather than say something nice to others..
hmmmm actually it's not that hard isn't it?
you just makes me think.....
Please give an example of something nice to say.. Because saying something nice is second nature in my life that I am not sure what else I can say :-\
ReplyDeleteaxim - yes axim. its not hard to say something nice =) lets do it!
ReplyDeletejoseph - yes like something you said to the guild members? hmm.
kata-kata yang baik untuk menegakkan kebenaran. nice to say, nice to hear.
ReplyDeleteazli - ya betul. kata-kata yang sedap didengar dan benar adalah yang terbaik.
ReplyDeleteTengah sakit hati.. no komen
ReplyDeletebcd - sakit hati? nape lak?
ReplyDeleteHey buddy,
ReplyDeleteIt has been few months since I last visited your blog. Nice template and design. :)
Yes, I totally agree with what you said. In my opinion, there are just too many people with negative thinking in the society.
Say something nice with the people around you and they will respond to you with good words too. Eventually our lives will get better. Believe or not, I have felt it myself.
Faisal, I know you always wish to achieve financial freedom and become wealthy. I don't know how's your progress but I am still working hard towards financial freedom. All the best to you!
P/S:Sorry for not being able to visit your blog all these while.
sheng loong - it has been a while since you visit me last =)
ReplyDeletebut don't worry. i know you are busy and now with your studies. as long as you're happy, i'm happy too.
yes, i started something and now i want to expand to a bigger one. i hope the biz will grow bigger and stronger soon. i know we both will get our financial freedom soon =)
It's so important to be nice and so many people forget it.
ReplyDeletetammy - yes tammy. it's easy to do it but yet not many people wants to do it =) human being is weird sometimes.
ReplyDeletehello there...
ReplyDeletenice article! i'm sure you make lots of people think after reading this post...
kata-kata baik dan kata-kata yang benar adalah 2 perkara yang berbeza..
ReplyDeletethat must be one great book. I do love reading motivational books like that once in a while too.
ReplyDeletewell, I believe, when you have nothing nice to day, just don't say anything at all. It works! :)
porcelain - thanks. i do hope so. if all peoples in the world say something nice to each other, i guess the whole world will live in peace =)
farah - you say it best, when you nothing at all? it's ronan keating's song!
yes i'd agree with you farah. if we say something nice everyday to people around us, we will build a positive character and mind without we even realize.
Hmm.. Kalau kita cakap tak ikhlas mcm mana tu? :D
ReplyDeleteann - kalau tak ikhlas? kalau dia tahu susah kot. honesty is the best policy? =p
ReplyDeletehmm... I believe the same too... say something nice... and everything will turn out nicely... Hopefully! and normally it works!
ReplyDelete**Tiba²... I'm inspired to blog about this!
saying I love you it,s nice way to love other and express life with gratitude. Thanks for your sharing and nice blog you have
ReplyDeletenurin - if i'm not mistaken you wrote about something similar months ago? =)
ReplyDeletei am - yes i agree. i wish i could say that to her!
like this idea. i truly agree on it. serves a great reminder :)
ReplyDeletereally? Maybe, but a reminder won't hurt, rite??
ReplyDeletequachee - thanks at the same time this post could remind me always.
ReplyDeletenurin - yes, no harm at all.
baik budi indah bahasa..hehehe
ReplyDeletewahidah - hehe amboi. mcm puisi lak =)
ReplyDeleteSometimes org tak terfikir utk say something nice..kdg2 boleh mengguris hati jgk kan?...apa2 pun kita mencuba menjadi sopan dlm berkata2..
ReplyDeleteThis is really good to know, Faisal. I totally agree. I used to not say nice things to other people but meeting many people in my work before changed me. I like this one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteaisha - thanks aisha. i hope we can be a better man by simple action like this. i know action speaks louder, but this simple action with words is good too.
