Just get back from badminton. Too many things in my head. Struggling with so many things... and I choose to complete my presentation that needed to be done and presented on 7th and maybe read my book to relax myself.
I just don't want to think about anything.
Then something pop up in my mind... does 100 Plus good for health? I've been drinking it for 3 times a week in my badminton session. I know it has sucrose and it's 1.5 liters! (to those who don't know about 100 Plus, it's actually an isotonic drink).
If it's not good then I will consume plain water after this. (psst...! 1.5 liters 100 Plus cost me about RM3.20 a bottle, now you do the math... that's not include daily fee for badminton RM7).
What say you?

if you ask about energy, 100plus is good for supplying energy. tp not to be taken too frequently lah, =]
ReplyDeleteI think 100 Plus is not healthy as it contains preservatives, artificial flavourings and food conditioner. Water is always best.
ReplyDeleteI actually can't believe the gyms I go to serve soft drinks! I mean, don't they know soft drinks are unhealthy? Doesn't fit into the healthy lifestyle that gyms are trying to promote.

well, 100 plus is one of the isotonic drinks available in Malaysia. maybe you have other brand in your country.
penguin - yes i know it is good especially when you do sport. but now i have to reconsider about drinking it as i heard a lot of bad comment about it.
ReplyDeletefoong - you mean your gym sells soft drink like mirinda? or its other isotonic brands? if its purely soft drink... and made by glucose... its much worse than isotonic drinks that has sucrose.

ary - i suppose doc gives 100 plus because of dehydration? its like salt drink... which they called it ORS (or OSR? lol something like that). but when you take it in big amount like 1.5 liters 3 times a week, i'm afraid its way too much.

k.a - ya. usually main badminton selasa 3 jam, khamis 2 jam dan sabtu 3 jam. suppose 100 plus berguna juga lah. tapi kalau ada side effect better minum air kosong je kan. ada gak player yang makan pisang pada hari sabtu. nak cari pisang pula yang susah tu... lagi pun 100 plus mahal sekarang. boleh gak jimat kalau replace air kosong dengan 100 plus.

ReplyDeletepernah buat kajian untuk diri sendiri dulu. sebelum mengamalkan minum air suam, jogging kat balapan tu hanya mampu 4 kali round jer...
tapi sesudah amalkan minum air suam tak kiralah milo suam, horlick suam ker, memang menambahkan stamina. 10 round balapan tu tanpa henti dengan larian yang konsisten, ok jer...percayalah...
lagi-lagi nak kahwin ni, erm..kena elak teruslah air berais dan minuman berkarbonat...

blue - badminton is fun. you just need to learn the basic things like how to hold the racket correctly and the basic strokes. then... you are ready to play!

Firstly I am scared too, I mean about the sugar level in red bull. But I asked my nutritionist and she said red bull is still okay, means the sugar level is "alright" . It will just increase ur sugar level in body and makes u feel Further more, I'm a person who not really love to drink cola and all those sweet drinks.

ReplyDeletedulu I tak boleh minum plain water, nanti perut kembung dan rsa nak muntah. Cuma boleh pergi dgn seteguk dua. Kalau sejuk baru ok. tu pun tak banyak. 500ml belum tentu habis dalam 2 hari..So then I minum 100+. Everyday. satu botol 1.5 dalam satu hari. Saya amalkan selama setahun.
Alhamdulillah..ok jers..
tapi ada satu petua la... saya tak minum sangat 100+ yang bergas. Mksudnya saya akan goncang dan buang gas dulu. Lepas tu baru minum. Lebih takde gas lebih bagus, lebih sedap.
Sekarang dah kurang minum 100+. Cuma bile perlu jer. Alhamdulillah, da boleh minum plain water.
