a thousand splendid suns

i got this from 2 friends. no, no not 1 book shared by two of them. but i got two books! they know i love to read and i have no idea why they could buy the same book. it would be better if they could get kite runner instead =p but, thank you ajil and norjan.

currently i’m reading this book and i just finished chapter 1. in chapter 2 now but i’ll be slower. got few assignment that need my attention and submitted in these few days. one of the assignments need great attention, indeed. collect 10 articles from any journal that related to the budget and write about it in 10,000 words. yea, i’m not kidding. damn!

if you are into reading, what book you currently reading and suggest it to me =) i heard fruit basket is good. i will write a review of this book soon yea.

  8. Oh I've read this book! Like The Kite Runner, you'll find yourself saying in a lot of scenes: "That is so unfair! So wrong on so many levels!"

If you like young adult novels, you should totally try The Hunger Games series. It's like Harry Potter but they're not wizards and in a different setting. I swear it's so good, it would be silly to miss out on it! It's leading in a lot of 'top books' list around the world! :P

10,000 patah perkataan wooooo sangat tebal tu.... amat mengerikan... khalid hosseini eeemmmm aku ade baca artikel kite runner ni pasal filem dia tu aje..

The Kite Runner yang aku faham tu ceriternya berkisar negara Afghanistan.

    ReplyDelete
  12. afzainizam - hmm buku yang aku tengah baca ni pun sama. berkisarkan kehidupan di afghanistan.

kalau pasal penghijrahan ke amerika, rasanya macam cerita benar penulis je?

  15. You should definitely grab the Hunger Games series. It's written by Suzanne Collins. Yes, they do have a similarity. Not only are they written by the same author, there are elements such as: the unfair social system in Afghanistan, and other issues.

I know those realities mentioned in the stories do exist but it's just so.. I don't know. I could never fathom the idea of something superbly wrong.

  16. About your comment in my blog, yes, that's liquor but I'm sure there's nothing like that in your country. :P Well the US is the land of milk and honey, there you can find the city that never sleeps, the sin city, the windy city, etc. I feel like there's so many things happening in there that I'm missing out on. I say if an offer for you to work or stay in the US comes up, I say grab it!

  52. You should definitely get "The Kite Runner". I actually have 2 copies of it too - I bought one and someone else bought it too hahaha. Both are used copies though.

"The Kite Runner" got me intrigued with the plight of the people in central Asia that I'm reading "Three Cups of Tea" now. I can't wait to finish it and just wish I had more time...

    ReplyDelete
  53. cw - how? dah beli english?

yeah, i wish i have more time too, so that i do not have to calculate using calculator and re-schedule my time every week ha ha. i'm a very busy man. busy with work, sports (badminton the most) and study. so usually i manage to grab current book that i'm reading when i go to the toilet! maybe i think, toilet is just a waste of time and i should do something useful :)
