Accident

Last night right after the Men Single Badminton Final, Keith fetch me and we drove to Batu Maung to fetch my friend, Syam. We planned to sit for a cup of coffee since he came back from Kuala Lumpur to visit his family in Penang.

We used the shortcut way to Batu Maung which was the factory area behind the airport (we were from Bayan Baru) and when we reached a corner there, a car that did not turn at the corner drove straight to the lorry in front of us. The lorry managed to dodge the car and it came straight to us. Luckily Keith managed to dodge a bit and the car hit our right side of the car.

He stopped in the middle of the road. I was the one who came out of the car quick. I guessed Keith was in shock. I called him out even though I could not see a thing as it was dark and I asked Keith to get his car plate number quick in case he drive away. Then he came out. An old Indian guy. He could not walk straight. Damn, he was drunk. I really hate a drunken driver. He could hit us straight just now and we might be in serious injury because, HE IS DRUNK! I was mad. Very mad. I felt like punching his face right away but I tried my best to stay calm. He kept went in and out of his car. I kept looking at his hand in case he takes things in his hand which could be dangerous to us. But nothing. He went into his car again and move to the road side.

He came to us. Keith was in silence.

He talked to me in hard-to-understand Malay: "Apa lu mau cakap?". I was like... What??? After you hit us and you asking me this crap??? But I remain calm. I replied: "You sudah langgar... tengok la apa jadi?".  He replied me: "Ok tak apa saya bayar 3 ringgit... 300 ratus saya bayar... mau report polis pun takpa". Fine, I replied: "Saya mau buat report polis. Tapi you kena ikut!". He agreed to follow. I repeated for few time: "You kena ikut!!". We drove near to his car and I capture his plate number via my iphone but the picture was very blur with or without flash light. Then we drove slowly to make sure he follows us. The road there was freaking dark maybe because it was behind the airport and it will make the planes confuse. He followed us and he did not even realize his light was off. I was worry he will hit us at the back again since he was drunk and did not turn on the light. We tried to make a gap between his car and ours but then half way, he disappeared.

"Fuck!" I shouted. I really felt regret not punching his face now! I know rule is rule and I could be in jail if I punch him but he really got on my nerves!

Keith wanted to turn back and find him. But I don't see the point of keep searching for him and let him follow. He won't be going to the police station for sure because he knew it was his fault and he might get serious punishment for being drunk and drive.

I made a decision. We went straight to the police station to make a report.

The incident happened around 9:55pm and I called mom around 10:01pm told her what had happen in case he attacked us or something at least she knew. We reached at the police station around 15 minutes later and thank God the traffic police at the counter was very helpful. Too bad I forgot to get his name so that I can give some compliment to him. He was smart and quick in typing unlike some other officers very slow and a lot of typing error for a report. He was friendly and could make us calm talking about badminton and Olympics. After he took our report, Keith need to be questioned again in detail with another officer. I could not follow to this room. I waited outside. About an hour or so, we were done with the report. The police promised to call us and give us his phone number and we can get the result by Wednesday.

I hope everything goes smoothly and Keith could claim insurance.

P/s: Keith has been involved with accident with this new car for a few times. Own fault reverse parking near my house and hit the drain badly, accident near Dynacraft Factory which involved 3 cars and he was the most front and own fault one of his tyre went into a drain at Pahang Road. His old Honda City brought more luck to him as no accident for 12 years. Perhaps, he needs a new car?

Congratulation Dato' Lee Chong Wei!

As you can see the picture above, my hero Dato' Lee Chong Wei was crying last night on TV after defeated by China player Lin Dan (who is also called Super Dan).

Before this 2 giants meet, our hope for bronze vanished when our men double Koo Kean Keat and Tan Boon Heong were defeated by Korean pair Lee Yong Dae and Jung Jae Sung.

In Twitter and Facebook, everybody was talking about Baskin Robbins ice cream which Malaysian can eat it for free if we get gold in Olympics 2012. Also about gold that cost millions for DLCW. But the most important thing was the pride that he took with him to make us, Malaysian proud.

Started well in the first set, DLCW won 21-15 against Lin Dan which gained his confidence and left Lin Dan under pressure. Lin Dan did not want to give up but gave his best and DLCW lose to him 10-21. I could see DLCW could not catch up with the point gap in second set and wanted to finish it as soon as possible and need to win in the rubber game. The rubber game was the best ever, when we could see the point gap was only 1 to 2 points until the end which made our heart thumping crazily. Seriously, I felt like I was at the side of the court. Or worse, I was the one playing! I envy their mental strength and could cope with the situation. The luck was not on our side and Lin Dan won the competition 21-19.

He cried when the umpire announced the result. Same went with our heart. Broken hearted. Sad. Even though we are proud of him all the time. Who else could ever made us proud so far? I mean, DLCW is the biggest achievement.

What makes me worry now, China has Chen Long the bronze medalist to replace Lin Dan. What about us Malaysia? Who is going to replace DLCW? :(

Hopefully someday, somehow, we could get a replacement. But you DLCW, will always be my hero. One day, I'll tell my kids, nieces and nephews. DLCW was a hero, was my idol and a legend.

I'm proud of you!!!

Mom's birthday at Puncak Mutiara.

Since I had enough sleep last night, I took hot shower and now in front of my Macbook replying email, reading and replying Facebook comments regarding Olympic which I think it is bias and Asia countries are the victims, argument with someone who thinks I wrote a wrong sentence for my status which I think he has problem to understand what is "fall asleep" about and I will do some reading later.

Wow! what a long introduction. LOL.

My mom's birthday was on July 27. Last week, her birthday was on weekday and I thought it might be messy with the traffic jam on the bridge during weekday and some other thing like fetching my 2 nieces from the kindergarten and nursery. So, my sisters and I planned to do the celebration on Saturday.

We planned a proper plan through Whatsapp. Mom usually cook special cooking during weekdays for us because that is the only time she can stay in the kitchen for almost half of the day. It's tiring after work and usually she will cook a simple meal for us helped by my two sisters.

Last Saturday, she already made a to-buy-list and wanted to go to the wet market with sisters. My sisters did a good job gave some excuses to make her cancel the plan.

I went for overtime and went back earlier to get cake at Jenny. Keith picked me up and then we picked up Linda. The road was not jam. We reached there a little bit early but managed to set things properly with Kak Mimi who was the person in charge there with the cake and song arrangement. Then, we started to walk around and saw ostrich and goats.

The food came early which I prefer to come here not in fasting month anymore. The food became cold when it was the time for us to break fast. Last time, there was some date served. Now, no more. Luckily Linda brought along with her some dates.

Here are the pictures of the foods:

Lamb Chop. I ordered this one. It was my first time and cold. I want to try this one again next time but not in fasting month :)

Beriyani with Lamb Shank. Ok, I have tried this one for few times and I like it a lot. It is recommended :)

After we finished our meal, my sister text Kak Mimi for the song and cake. Mom was day dreaming I guess haha as she was not focusing on anything during that time. Then... tadaaaaaaaa!!!

The cake from Jenny. It was the first time, the cake could be eaten until finish :)

Mom was surprise... and I knew she was so happy and almost cry.

It was a successful plan.

Happy Birthday Mom!

p/s: Oh yeah... we sent her flower at her office.

I'm happy with my life

Busy. Busy. Busy.

I try to squeeze time to blog :) Or else, I just shared some pictures for you to see. At least, my blog is not dead and you know that I'm a live.

Now it's Ramadhan, which means all Muslims are fasting. I don't use it as an excuse but I try to complete many things while I'm fasting. During Ramadhan, I stop for a while sport activities at day time and reduce to 1 or 2 times a week, yes of course at night.

So, what I do during day time?

I try to sketch and get info for my research. Remember it's my last semester? But, I haven't gone to the library to get the thesis example, good title and questionnaires example. No excuse, I must complete this task as soon as possible.

Thank God.

2 month ago, I had applied for assistant officer job. I got the letter for interview. The interview will be held in KL this coming Wednesday. I want this job but still, I will do the best and let God decide for me what is the best. The more I'm worried about it, the more stress I get. To my readers, please pray for me ok? :)

I had bought ticket to Bali few month ago. I'll fly to Bali on November 1. I'll be going to Koh Samui to on September 29 until October 1. I got an invitation that is very tempting, to Philippines. Which, I have been dreaming to go since years ago. The problem is, the date. The date is on October 6. I think, I'll be rushing packing and repacking and also a proper plan. I know, being a backpacker doesn't need a proper plan and a lot of stuff to carry. But I still do not want to rush in making decision. I jus think, the best for me is to skip this one. I might be going this year or early next year for Chiang Mai. I have friends there who are volunteer to be my guide :)

Right after Ramadhan, I will start jogging. I want to prepare for Penang Bridge Marathon in November. I have a pair of running shoes that I did not use for so long. I might a new pair for my running.

See? Don't you think my timetable is very tight?

But, I'm happy with my life.

But don't worry I will be writing from time to time. Just that if you keep your story too long, you tend to forget about the exact scenario and lazy to write about it.

See you later!
