A Thousand Splendid Suns

I have read this book which was given by my best friend (Ajil) and ex-collage friend (Noorjan). Yes, they have the same taste I guess and that’s why I got 2 same books on my birthday (Kite Runner this year?)

I seldom read this kind of book which most of the time I will be reading a science-fiction ones. So, it’s cool to give a try on it.

When I just read few pages, I found the book not so interesting which it slowed me down. You won’t believe that I finish another book in the toilet because most of the time when I was not on the toilet will be occupied with completing my assignments. Yes, some of my friends claimed that it was just an excuse for me not joining them hang out at café or restaurant but seriously mate, the assignments really killing me and until today, I still got 2 assignments that needed my attention.

The story is about Afghan people; their culture, belief and life. The author knows how to blend them together and makes it interesting to read.

I do not think it’s cool to write the whole story in here but I’d suggest you to get a copy and finish it. Pay attention on Mariam and Laila the most.

Seriously, I do not like the ending for Mariam.

  7. To travel to Afghan needs things to consider, but to read about it is safer. Thanks for sharing.

  8. I know some people smoke in the toilet because they want to camouflage their own bad output. But seriously, do you think reading in the toilet can be more enjoyable bro? I thought we really need to concentrate and focus while doing our most important morning chore.
