Bali - The Turtle Island

I guess, not many of you have visited this place?

Why I say this? It is because Turtle Island is not like other places which are famous as Bali's signature. When people mention about Bali, those places like Tanah Lot, Paddy Terrace and Kintamani Volcano will be appeared in your mind. Not the Turtle Island.

Luckily, I read about it on internet and asked to my tourist guide.

I wanted to touch turtle since I was a little kid. My family even brought me to Rantau Abang, Terengganu to see turtle, but you can see them only if you are lucky. I was not lucky then since the turtle did not come to the beach and it was 1990 if I'm not mistaken. Dad booked the chalet at the beach and we were waited for the turtle together. Such a sweet memories.

So, I had the opportunity again. I did not miss it this time, of course.

We took the boat from the mainland to the Turtle Island. I was very happy and anxious.

You can see many boats on your way to the island. Even weird fishing boat like the green one in the picture.

Our happy face on the boat.

You can see some activities like parasailing, jet ski and many more.

I forgot to mention, our boat was a glass-bottom boat. So, we could see underwater creature and corals.

...and there you go!!! We reached the island!

The python :)

Monitor lizard

...and some birds too :)

You must try the coconut. It was huge!

It is a must thing to do if you visit Bali. The people in the island were friendly.

It's 3:35am (Sunday) now and I got to go. I got wedding to attend later. I will write about the next place that I had visited later. I hope you enjoy the post :)

  1. Rantau Abang, Terengganu...not Pahang. Btw funny pic yg letak penyu tepi pipi tu..haha.. Macam paksa dia kiss ur pipi.. haha

    1. Ops!

      Thank you for the correction.

Hehe memang paksa pun sebab dia nak masuk dalam air balik kepanasan. Cuaca di sana agak panas. Penyu nak stay dalam air je :)

  2. I didn't do my homework before departing to Bali so I missed this place. You have the opportunity to get close and personal with all the animals especially those cute turtles. What a privilege Faisal!

    1. Yes, love the turtle so much. Today I went to Karnival Pertanian in Penang and saw some turtles again but I did not got the chance to touch them. There was a sign written there "Do not feed and touch the turtles. They do bite!"

      I was... gulp.

  3. be on a glass-bottom boat must be cool. I have never had such an experience before. :D

    1. Oh you should! I wanted to do it when I was in Tioman last time but they told me that I only can do that when it's a lot of people there. Usually when it's school holiday.

So this time, I managed to do it in Bali :)

You should do it bro someday.

  4. Oh never heard of Turtle Island in Bali!! How come it's not famous? LOL at you posing with the turtle! Nice glass-bottom boat! : )

    1. Yes, I read about this turtle island in the brochure :)

Next time I want to stay near to the place where I can see dolphin :) and I want to do water rafting!

  5. Anonymous6:26 PM

Eeeee...imagine that there are people eating those lovely turtles...and the eggs too. Tsk! Tsk! The snake...eek! I would not touch...and the biawak, there's one in the drain outside my house. You want? Come and catch... Hehehehehe!!!! Scary looking birds.

    1. Ops! I loves the egg too :(

Haha oh no Arthur, seem like you don't fancy any of them at all.
