listen to your heart

When you don't know how to decide... just listen to your heart :)

I know there's something in the wake of your smile.
I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yea.
You've built a love but that love falls apart.
Your little piece of heaven turns too dark.

Listen to your heart
when he's calling for you.
Listen to your heart
there's nothing else you can do.
I don't know where you're going
and I don't know why,
but listen to your heart
before you tell him goodbye.

Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile.
The precious moments are all lost in the tide, yea.
They're swept away and nothing is what it seems,
the feeling of belonging to your dreams.

And there are voices
that want to be heard.
So much to mention
but you can't find the words.
The scent of magic,
the beauty that's been
when love was wilder than the wind.

cancer

Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center

-----------------------------------------------------------

I got this from email too!

Cancer Update from John Hopkins

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sit es.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply .

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than be ef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts)and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting
properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence,Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bit terness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL , U S - PLEASE READ

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.

Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that w e should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers.
This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.

Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life.

insatiable

The more I suffer,the more I love.
Danger will only increase my love.
It will sharpen it, it will give it spice.
I'll be the only angel you need.
You'll leave life even more beautiful than you entered it.
Heaven will take you back and look at you and say: "only one thing can make a soul complete, and that thing is love."

From movie: The Reader

When moonlight crawls along the street
Chasing away the summer heat
Footsteps outside somewhere below
The world revolves, I let it go
We build our church above this street
We practice love between these sheets
The candy sweetness scent of you
It bathes my skin, I'm stained by you
And all I have to do is hold you
There's a racing within my heart
And I am barely touching you

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you is
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you is
Insatiable

The moonlight plays upon your skin
A kiss that lingers takes me in
I fall asleep inside of you
There are no words
There's only truth
Breathe in, breathe out
There is no sound
We move together up and down
We levitate, our bodies soar
Our feet don't even touch the floor
And nobody knows you like I do
'Cause the world, they don't understand
But I grow stronger in your hands

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you is
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you is
Insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you is
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you is
Insatiable

We never sleep, we're always holdin' hands
Kissin' for hours, talkin', makin' plans
I feel like a better man
Just being in the same room
We never sleep, there's just so much to do
So much to say
Can't close my eyes when I'm with you
Insatiable, the way I'm loving you

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you is
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you is
Insatiable

Turn the lights down low
Take it off
Let me show
My love for you is
Insatiable
Turn me on
Never stop
Wanna taste every drop
My love for you is
Insatiable

When I look in your eyes
Insatiable
The way I'm Loving you
Oh, what can I do
Insatiable for you

soccer inter LHDN

I’m so happy today that our team Man Utd won big. We defeated Barcelona by 4-2! Before this, Barcelona had defeated Inter Milan.

Now, we are confident to meet Inter Milan :)

I’m a badminton player, not a soccer player. But that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to play at all. I played since I was a kid too just that I’m better in badminton as dad always wanted me to be good in badminton. My parent didn’t encourage me to play soccer because I got dislocated shoulder at both side :)

Thanks to the Captain for giving me opportunity to wear my favorite number -- 7! Thanks for trusting me to play right winger too.

The happiest moment was when I assisted striker for the first goal. Yay!

P/s: Because I was so happy, I left my sandal at USM’s field! LOL.

it must have been love

It's Monday again. Ok, seriously I hate Monday :( Monday Blues? Ok, let me take you into the real blues... Mmm... "It Must Have Been Love"?

It Must Have Been Love..... But its over now....

Lay a whisper on my pillow
Leave the winter on the ground
I wake up lonely, there's air of silence
In the bedroom and all around
Touch me now, I close my eyes and dream away

1st Chorus:

It must have been love, but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow
It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we touched till the time had run out

Make believing, we're together
That I'm sheltered by your heart
But in and outside I've turned to water
Like a teardrop in your palm
And it's a hard winter's day, I dream away

2nd Chorus:

It must have been love, but it's over now
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without
It must have been love but it's over now

It's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows

3rd. Chorus:

It must have been love but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow
It must have been love, but its over now
From the moment we touched till the time had run out
Yeah.. It must have been love, but it's over now
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without
It must have been love but it's over now

Its where the water flows, its where the wind blows..

carwash

My head is spinning now caused by the heat when I was outside for the carwash with mom. Luckily she wanted to accompany me.

Before went to carwash, wee went to Makbul Nasi Kandar at Bayan Baru for brunch and bought some for sister and dad.

Washed the car, vacuumed inside the car and washed engine. Cost me RM20. Usually, if wash outside and vacuum inside will cost me RM10 only. So the engine cleaning is RM10. Noted.

What made me unhappy was the result after the cleaning.

  • The stuff you use to clean your windscreen (I don’t know what you call that thing) which usually you use water and soap, broken on the left side.
  • The boot screw pulled out.
  • The aircond part (the plastic in the car that you use to move right or left) broken.

I went straight to the accessory shop right after done with the carwash to fix the first problem. The thing cost me RM11 and RM5 for the service. I asked about the aircond and he told me that I have to change the whole thing because the thing is broken and it will cost me about RM60. Both in the middle broken now, which means RM120! Damn it. I feel like slapping those workers at the carwash. I managed to repair the boot screw by myself. So, maybe next month I will repair the aircond. I must calculate my budget again! (After changed 4 tyres, repaired aircond and changed absorber ring for RM1390).

I have promised myself that I won’t go to the same carwash anymore. Especially, after I have changed the aircond part. No way!

Want to know which carwash Penangites? It is located in Relau. Opposite Shell petrol station!

P/s: It was not the first time I wash there; it was fine before but still no more.

banana fritter?

I got this from an email.

This is a true story (from my friend). Was in the newspaper too.

Mum said my uncle saw it in Tunjang (Kedah) and the night market in Titi Chai Kangar (Perlis) where banana fritter was sold in the afternoons.

The hawker added a plastic drinking straw into a wok of hot oil and let it melt completely before he started to fry some bananas in the bubbling oil.

This is why some banana fritters are so crispy... for hours...!!

My uncle asked the hawker about this, but the hawker did not answer him. When my uncle told my mum about this, they realized this is how the hawkers ensure that fried food stays crispy for their customers.

My mum said that in Thailand , they do the same thing to keep fried anchovy and fried onions crispy, even if left in the open for hours!!

Another time, I was with my family in Cameron Highlands. It was 3:00 pm and we were hanging around the market area, where there were several hawker stalls..

At one of them, there was a big wok of boiling oil with an empty plastic bottle floating in it and slowly melting. At first I thought it had fallen into the oil accidentally, but then I saw a little girl, about 7-years old, holding a pair of chopsticks and stirring the bottle around in the hot oil.

I realized, Oh my God... these people were using melted plastic to fry food, so that the fried snacks would not turn soft when it cooled down later.

Please forward to all your friends... DO NOT EAT CRISPY FRIED SNACKS from the hawkers!! Even if you don't see them melting the plastic in oil, they might have added the plastic a few hours before. After all, they keep the black oil for next day's frying as well, to save cost on cooking oil.

distance study

Not working today. Accidents were everywhere. Roads were flooded. I chose to stay home. I was still mad with the Pioneer sport shop at Petani Road. My racket string was fine but the grip was the old one. I wondered if they realized about it or just ignore for some profit. I don’t know.

This morning, when the rain stopped I cleaned the bathroom. Usually water from the small drain behind my house just comes into my house. Bad drain.

Ate breakfast with mom. Mom cooked fried rice. I made 2 mugs of coffee. One for me and one for mom.

Then about 11am, I went to Add One. I always buy badminton stuff there. Bought the grip and a red wrist band. Cost me RM14 for both.

Sister passed to me a letter from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). It was from Admission Department. I smiled.

Opened the envelope and yes, I’ve been accepted.

But then I realize the offer letter was incorrect. They offered me Sains Kemasyarakatan which I applied for Management. They attached another form for me to fill and submit to them but the course was correct -- Management.

I called them up and they said I have to send back the letter to them and they will issue a new letter to me by next week. I replied ok.

I drove to USM with my sister and met the guy in charge for the correction. Passed him the letter and drove home.

I will be a student again… thank God.

if you're not the one

Do you think you are not the one? *wink*

If you're not the one, then why does my soul feel glad today?
If you're not the one, then why does my hand fit yours this way?
If you are not mine, then why does your heart return my call?
If you you are not mine, would I have the strength to stand at all?

I never know what the future brings
But I know you're here with me now
We'll make it through and I hope
You are the one I share my life with

I don't wanna run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you, then why does my heart tell me that I am?
Is there anyway that I can stay in your arms?

If I don't need you, then why am I crying on my bed?
If I don't need you, then why does your name resound in my head?
If you're not for me, then why does this distance name my life?
If you're not for me, then why do I dream of you as my wife?

I don't know why you're so far away
But I know that this much is true
We'll make it through and I hope
You are the one I share my life with

And I wish that you could be the one I die with
And I pray that you're the one I build my home with
I hope I love you all my life

I don't wanna run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you, then why does my heart tell me that I am?
Is there anyway that I can stay in your arms?

'Cause I miss your body and soul so strong
That it takes my breath away
And I breath you into my heart
And I pray for the strength to stand today

'Cause I love you whether it's wrong or right
And though I can't be with you tonight
And though my heart is by your side

I don't wanna run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you, then why does my heart tell me that I am?
Is there anyway that I can stay in your arms?

100 Plus

Just get back from badminton. Too many things in my head. Struggling with so many things... and I choose to complete my presentation that needed to be done and presented on 7th and maybe read my book to relax myself.

I just don't want to think about anything.

Then something pop up in my mind... does 100 Plus good for health? I've been drinking it for 3 times a week in my badminton session. I know it has sucrose and it's 1.5 liters! (to those who don't know about 100 Plus, it's actually an isotonic drink).

If it's not good then I will consume plain water after this. (psst...! 1.5 liters 100 Plus cost me about RM3.20 a bottle, now you do the math... that's not include daily fee for badminton RM7).

What say you?

can't open your hard disk?

Have you ever encountered this problem before? You click on your hard dick disk (C or D drive usually) and it takes you somewhere else such as My Document folder?

I encountered this problem yesterday when I was at work and asked my friend any good anti virus for micro virus that infected my MS WORDS lately. He gave me ComboFix and after ran that program I just couldn’t open my hard disk anymore.

I was busy yesterday and only have time to find the remedy today. So, here is the solution:

  1. Start
  2. Run
  3. Type this: regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
  4. Click ok

Done. Simple right? :)

a lesson in life

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas.

I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes.

Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?'

'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good.'

'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?'

'Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time.'

'Good. Anything I can help you with?'

'No, Sir. Jus' admirin' them peas.'

'Would you like to take some home?' asked Mr. Miller.

'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with.'

'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?'

'All I got's my prize marble here.' 'Is that right? Let me see it'
said Miller.'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.'

'I can see that. Hmm mmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked.

'Not zackley but almost.'

'Tell you what. Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble'. Mr. Miller told the boy.

'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.'

Mrs.. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me.

With a smile she said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever. When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.'

I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man. A short time later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering for marbles.

Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one. Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died. They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them. Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer whatever words of comfort we could.

Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very
professional looking. They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket.

Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket. Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket. Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes.

Our turn came to meet Mrs.. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about
her husband's bartering for marbles. With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket.

'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about.

They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them. Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size.... they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world,' she confided, 'but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho .'

With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband. Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles.

The Moral :

We will not be remembered by our words,
but by our kind deeds.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath.

Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles
An unexpected phone call from an old friend ....
Green stoplights on your way to work...

The fastest line at the grocery store...

A good sing-along song on the radio...

Your keys found right where you left them.

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!

beautiful lesson

The girl in the picture is Katie Kirkpatrick, Next to her, her fiancé,Nick, 23. The picture was taken shortly before their wedding ceremony, held on January 11, 2005 in the US . Katie has terminal cancer and spend hours a day receiving medication. In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of quimo to end.

In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss

An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that Katie used throughout the ceremony and reception as well. The other couple in the picture are Nick's parents. Excited to see her son marrying his high school sweetheart.

Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube , listening to a song from her husband and friends

At the reception, katie had to take a few rests. The pain do not allow her to stand up for long periods

Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a woman so ill and weak getting married and with a smile on her face makes us think..... Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it last. We should stop making our lives complicated.

Life is short
Break the rules
forgive quickly
kiss passionately, love truly
laugh constantly
And never stop smiling
no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful.
