Avoid chemical in foods

I bought this book at office. We have preach every Friday and different peoples were invited for that purpose. They never sell anything before and today they sell some good books.

This one attracts me :

This book is about how to avoid chemical in foods. How interesting? If you are a health conscious person, then this book is good. This book cost me RM5 only and I haven't read them. If there is anything I can share with you, I will surely post about it here ;)

Polls talk ploy to prevent defections, says Guan Eng

GEORGE TOWN: The
Election Commission’s talk
about snap election appears
to be a plan hatched by
certain quarters to prevent
any change of government
by defections or crossovers,
Penang Chief Minister Lim
Guan Eng said yesterday.

“That’s why I think it is
important that this is not
used as a device because
there’s some talk that
to prevent people from
jumping over, they are
using the threat of snap
election to stop them from
doing so,” he said in a
press conference after
announcing a RM115.2
million investment by
Honeywell Aerospace here.

“Is this a device? It looks
like it to me. They are
saying, if you jump over, we
can have snap election and
you will get defeated.
“Is that the real message
they are trying to send out?”
Lim also asked EC
chairman Tan Sri Abdul
Rashid Abdul Rahman to
reveal the identity of the party
who told him there was going
to be a snap election.
“Has he been getting
indications from the cabinet
or the prime minister?”

Lim said it is the
government of the day which
has the power to call for a
snap election and not the EC.

“The EC only conducts
elections. When the term is
up, it has the power to decide
but when the term is not up,
it has no power to decide.

“So who told the EC that
there is going to be snap
election? Does this show that
EC is no longer independent?
If that is so, we will go back
to the same problem that
elections are unfair, not free
and not impartial,” he said.

As for whether the state
government is ready if a snap
election is called, Lim said
the federal government can
call for a snap election but
the state government has a
choice of whether to have the
snap election or not.

Lim was commenting on
a statement by Abdul Rashid
that EC has told its offi cers to
be prepared for snap polls.
On the EC’s proposal to
re-register voters to clean
up the electoral rolls, Lim
was sceptical that the rolls
could be “cleaned up”.

If the organisation is not clean, it does not make any difference,” he said, adding it is more important to reform the EC.

Bush compares today's wars to World War II efforts

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — President Bush, linking the wars of his tenure to the deadliest one in history, is asking the country to commit anew to postwar rebuilding.

In an address for Wednesday to more than 1,000 graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Bush frames their futures by harking back to the World War II generation. He links the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to postwar Germany and Japan six decades ago.

"America has assumed this obligation before," Bush said in prepared remarks released by the White House. "After World War II we helped Germany and Japan build free societies and strong economies. These efforts took time and patience, and as a result Germany and Japan grew in freedom and prosperity and are now allies of the United States."

The result, Bush says, was "generations of security and peace" in the United States.

"Today we must do the same in Afghanistan and Iraq," he says in the prepared comments. "And by helping these young democracies grow in freedom and prosperity we will once again reap the benefits in generations of security and peace."

Today's wars aren't over yet. As reconstruction unfolds, the enemy keeps fighting — not national militaries but a complex mix of militias and terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Another difference: It remains in debate within the country whether the pre-emptive Iraq war has bolstered U.S. security or weakened it. Bush has expressed no doubts it was warranted.

Bush's message was overshadowed by a blistering tell-all book by his former press secretary, Scott McClellan. The former voice of the White House, McClellan writes that Bush favored propaganda over honesty and candor in selling the war to the American public.

McClellan strikingly calls the Iraq war a "serious strategic blunder." His scathing account of Bush's leadership drew dominant news coverage and lit up many Internet blogs Wednesday.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said that McClellan's account was puzzling and sad, and that Bush had more important matters than commenting on books by former staffers.

At least 4,085 U.S. military members have died in the Iraq war. More than 430 members of the U.S. military have died in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan as a result of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001, according to the Defense Department.

The U.S. death toll in World War II was roughly 406,000. Overall, tens of millions of people died. The conflict transformed the globe; chief U.S. enemies of that day, Germany and Japan, re-emerged as major allies.

Bush's speech was expected to compare air power and warfare techniques of World War II and today. He also was to talk about the differences in the enemies that U.S. forces face.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said Bush would zero in on one constant — "that freedom has the power to overcome tyranny and transform societies." That theme has underpinned Bush's foreign policy and was the calling of his second inaugural address.

The president is on a three-day trip through five states. The purpose is mainly to raise money for Republicans, something Bush remains strong at even as his influence wanes.

After the commencement, Bush was heading to Utah for two closed events to raise money for John McCain, the Arizona senator and presumptive Republican presidential nominee, and other GOP candidates. Bush held a similar event on Tuesday in Arizona, raising an estimated $3 million.

Stop comparing Mr Bush. Is war the best solution and there is no other option? World hates war but do you hear us? No, I bet. Why wasting more life and money each day when you have other options? After all, life is about choices. No?

bowling

Usually if I'm not too tired I will play Ragnarok Online. Yes, I told you about quitting this game in my earlier post. Well, I'm not playing it 100% anymore. Not even reload my ids. After the war, I went to meet colleagues. They have course at Vistana Hotel from Monday until Thursday. So, they felt bored stuck in the hotel with television. We went to Bukit Jambul Complex for bowling. I reached there around 10pm and played for 2 games. It was fun and at the same time I was tired :)

Government to engage bloggers in cyberspace

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government will take on bloggers in cyberspace and respond to wild and baseless allegations raised in blogs.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said remaining silent was no longer an option.

He acknowledged that the Government had overlooked the need to engage the new media, which was a new dimension in shaping public opinion, in the recent general election.

The Government had not been savvy in engaging the new media and lost out in cyberspace, he said, adding: “But we live and learn.”

Najib said this during a question and answer session at the Asia Media Summit 2008 here yesterday.

He in fact has started the ball rolling by putting a reply through his press secretary Datuk Tengku Sariffuddin Tengku Ahmad to a posting on Malaysia Today, a news portal run by Raja Petra Kamaruddin.

Najib said it was obvious that the Barisan Nasional Government would now need to engage the new media.

“We need to have people who are active participants of the new media, who are sympathetic and understanding of the government’s position.

“Therefore, instead of just criticising them (the new media) or running them down, the best thing to do is to engage them. Hopefully they will understand our perspective,” he added.

To another question, Najib said the Government gave the mainstream and new media a great deal of latitude to criticise.

However, he said: “There is a line which shouldn’t be crossed” because it could undermine the wider interest of society.

On action taken against blogger Raja Petra, Najib said he was charged with breaking the laws of the country – making baseless allegations and seditious remarks.

He said Raja Petra had been free to criticise the Government “very robustly and stridently” in his blog for years and the Government had not taken any action against him.

“But when certain things he said constituted a very serious attack against the institution, the Attorney-General decided that he had crossed the line,” Najib said.

Other than the new media, he said the established media too had become more critical since the elections.

“If you read the newspapers on a daily basis, you will see that they don’t hold back their punches. If they know there are weaknesses or abuse of power anywhere, they will latch on to these and criticise the Government and individuals openly,” he said.

In an immediate response, blogger Ahirudin Attan (Rocky Bru) welcomed Najib’s announcement that the Government would respond to allegations, saying:

“This is really good. It’s better late than never and it’s something for the blogging community to rejoice because blogging is about interacting with each other.”

The National Alliance of Bloggers president said one of the alliance’s aims was to get the Government to take part in blogging.

“This is because blogging is also about giving feedback to the Government and it’s great that the Government is picking up the opportunity (to blog).”

DAP’s PJ Utara MP Tony Pua, who is also a blogger, felt that the Government should be earnest in replying to issues or allegations levelled against it, pointing out that the Government should not use the medium only to win over public opinion.”

“If the allegations are indeed wild, then its response to correct them is welcome. But if it’s only to put down frank criticisms, then it'll defeat the whole purpose.”

1. Now you replied to his blog. The one who was jailed by you. But I like the open reply idea in blog. More democracy?

2. No one better than KJ to understand the government position now. Why not let him manage the government blog?

3. “Therefore, instead of just criticising them (the new media) or running them down, the best thing to do is to engage them. Hopefully they will understand our perspective,” he added. <-- Now you agree that government has been criticizing us and even running us down? Blogger bashing never bring any good eh? :)

4. "...very serious attack against the institution" institution which was YOU?

Good thing is government think positive now -- to join the blogsphere and understand us better. The more you bash them, the more tense they will create for justice. Instead of fighting like a night market [which already happen in Parliament] why not have an open discussion.

I hope it works!

Cops eye bloggers

POLICE are monitoring blog sites and will investigate bloggers for seditious and misleading postings.

If investigations confirm that such postings are seditious and misleading, the police can haul the bloggers concerned to court under the Sedition Act and Communications and Multimedia Act, Nanyang Siang Pau reported yesterday.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said police have set up a cyber crimes unit under the Commercial Crime Investigation Department and will investigate reports lodged against bloggers by members of the public or members of the force itself.

However, he said police will only haul up the bloggers after it is determined that their postings are questionable.

Musa stressed that the move is not aimed at stifl ing free speech but to ensure that bloggers undertake responsible postings.

Giving an example, he said police received a report not so long ago that an article posted on a blog was seditious as its content was deemed blasphemous to Islam.

Those who have read the article, including the police, felt that it may have been written by a non-Muslim.

“But police investigations showed that the person involved was a Muslim. What if everyone believes it was written by a non-Muslim, what (do you think) can happen?” he asked. Anyone found guilty under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 can be jailed up to a year and fi ned a maximum of RM50,000 or both whereas a person who violates the Sedition Act 1948 can be jailed up to three years or fi ned RM5,000 or both. Nathaniel Tan, a blogger and an aide of Parti Keadilan Rakyat adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, told the daily he has always been against police department’s use of threats on bloggers. Tan was detained an investigated for alleged breach of Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act 1972 relating to a comment left on his blog linking then deputy internal security minister Mohd Johari Baharum to a corruption allegation.

Commenting on police monitoring of blog posts, he said: “It indeed is a threat to bloggers.” He however said they would not be intimidated.

Cool? I can see some blogs are serious about bashing government for some reasons. The different is either you are famous or you are not. If you are famous, its hard to put you in jail as you have your own lawyer to defend you. If you are not, then it's easy to throw you in jail under cyber law and sedition.

Uproar over "doctors licensed to kill" statement

“LICENCE to kill” was a subject that dominated 20 minutes of argument but it was not about Ian Fleming’s secret agent James Bond that the MPs were at loggerheads about.

It was the sentence “doctors have the licence to heal and licence to kill” in a supplementary answer by the Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Abd Latiff Ahmad (BN-Mersing) that sparked a furore among the Pakatan Rakyat representatives.

Dr Mohd Hatta Mat Ramli (PAS-Kuala Krai) started the ball rolling by asking Abd Latiff to withdraw his statement as it gives a wrong impression about medical doctors.

Dr Lo’ Lo’ Mohamad Ghazali (PAS-Titiwangsa) was next to voice her dissatisfaction, citing concern that there would be misunderstanding amongst the students who visit the House frequently.

Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia fi rst waved it off and asked for proceedings to continue but this did not go down well with opposition parliamentarians, with Mohd Hatta standing up to ask Pandikar Amin to order Abd Latiff to withdraw the statement.

And this was also called for by a few other MPs like Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Timur) who cited Point of Order that the statement had not complied with the Standing Orders of the House.

Opposition Leader Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (PKR-Permatang Pauh) said doctors took an oath to protect the lives of their patients and Abd Latiff’s statement was inappropriate.

Dr Tan Seng Giaw (DAPKepong) also said he hoped Pandikar Amin would rule that such words would no longer be used and for Abd Latiff to withdraw the phrase. Pandikar Amin agreed with Tan and looked for affirmation from Abd Latiff by saying that he did not hav bad intentions when he uttered the phrase. “Yes, I had not meant it in a bad way,” Abd Latiff said. After much ruckus, Pandikar Amin asked for the parliamentarians to refrain from using terms or phrases that may insult their peers and can be defi ned through other perceptions.

Further, he asked Abd Latiff to withdraw the statement. Abd Latiff said: “I am sorry to have said that and I had no mean intentions. I will not repeat it but I will not withdraw my statement.”

This caused another loud roar from the side of Pakatan Rakyat but Pandikar Amin then ticked off the MPs, reminding them of their shared responsibility in ensuring smooth proceedings that adhere to the Standing Orders. He said he had taken note that this was not the first time Abd Latiff had used the phrase but was also sure that he had no bad intentions in saying it.

“From what I gather, what he meant was sometimes there are doctors who are careless and that was what he meant,” he said.
The Rules in the Standing Orders were thrown across the House, asking for Pandikar Amin’s actions and when he had seemed to have had enough, he quipped: “I have memorised all these rules – up, down, left and right.”

Pandikar Amin refreshed the memory of the MPs that he had fi rst decided to ignore the phrase and carry on with proceedings and the decision could only be reviewed with a motion under Standing Order 43.

“You all have this responsibility of ensuring that the meeting goes smoothly. Next time, don’t use that term.” At this point, Lim stood to refer to a Standing Order allowing parliamentarians to refer the act of a fellow MP to a special committee.

Abd Latiff put an end to the issue when he said: “I will not apologise for the remark but I will withdraw it.”

Ghani: Malaysia has proof of Pulau Pisang ownership

JOHOR BARU: There is no danger of losing Pulau Pisang to Singapore as Malaysia clearly has sovereignty over the island.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said that this was despite Singapore operating a lighthouse on the 154ha island.

He said the ownership of the island was based on a treaty between Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Abu Bakar and the British in 1900, which clearly stated that Malaysia had sovereignty over the island.

Malaysian territory: This August 1998 file picture shows former Pontian MP Datuk Dr Hasni Mohammad pointing at Pulau Pisang.

“Our land office records show that Pulau Pisang belongs to Johor,” he said.

Abdul Ghani was responding to a suggestion made by Pontian MP Ahmad Maslan that the Government should conduct a study on taking over the operation of the lighthouse.

Ahmad said Pulau Pisang might suffer a similar fate as Batu Puteh where the International Court of Justice ruled in favour of Singapore.

Abdul Ghani said the lighthouse, which guided ships into the Singapore Straits, was manned by four Singaporean guards.

“The guards are relieved by another team once a fortnight and are required to report to the marine department, Customs and immigration in Kukup every time they arrive and depart from the island,” he said.

He added that Malaysians were allowed to enter the island but were prohibited from entering the lighthouse.

Abdul Ghani said there were also 82 farmers who tend to orchards on the island.

“They are only given permission to work on the land but are not granted ownership of the land,” he said.

The island is about 12km from Pontian Kechil and 5km from Benut.

Meanwhile, Johor PAS officials lodged a police report against former foreign minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, Abdul Ghani and Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, accusing them of causing Malaysia to lose Batu Puteh.

Johor Baru (South) OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Yaakob confirmed that the report had been received.

Perak Puteri Umno chief Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin, meanwhile, said Malaysia must take the necessary steps to ensure she irrefutably owned all her islands and territories.

She said the steps were crucial in view of the recent decision on Batu Puteh.

DAP chairman Karpal Singh said the Malaysian Government was “foolhardy to have placed the case before ICJ” without the necessary evidence.

He was referring to Malaysian ambassador-at-large Tan Sri Abdul Kadir Mohamad’s statement that he could not locate a letter sent by a British governor in Butterworth to the Johor Temenggong seeking permission to build the Horsburgh Lighthouse on Batu Puteh.

Abdul Kadir led the Malaysian team to The Hague.

“Discovery of the letter now or in future cannot restore Malaysia’s sovereignty over Batu Puteh,” he said.

I agree with what DAP chairman Karpal Singh said. We were lack of evidence which made us lose. No use turning back, sigh!

SPM top scorers take grouses to Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: Four students from Selangor and Johor, who scored 11 or 12 As in the SPM, brought their grouses to Parliament yesterday about not getting the Public Services Department (PSD) scholarship, joining an annual list of people who bring up the same complaint. The students were accompanied by Pulau Jerejak assemblyman Sim Tze Tzin to Parliament and were received by Yusmadi Yusof (PKR-Balik Pulau).

They were Chew Kin Cheng, who scored eight 1As and four 2As, Tan Kian Hin (nine 1As and two 2As), Tiow Zyn Ann (eight 1As and three 2As) and Lim Soon Seng (10 1As and two 2As). At a press conference at the Parliament lobby, Yusmadi said: “Our brightest students often do not get the opportunity to go for higher education to bring out the best in them. Eventually, we would only encourage mediocrity and our nation would lose competitiveness in the process.”

He said there was a rot in the selection system as no one seemed to know the details of the selection. “The selection has failed us year after year. Often, the officials explained the system in general terms. However, we demand to know more. It should be transparent and fair,” he said. Yusmadi said the social background of an applicant should also be taken into account as those in need should be given the priority.

He said the students have other alternatives because foreign countries are providing scholarships to them but those who take up the offers will not come back and this is a loss to the country. Deputy Education Minister Dr Wee Ka Siong, who also met the students, told reporters such cases occur every year because the PSD only has 2,000 allocations for scholarships each year while there are more than 15,000 applicants.

To stop speculation on why students are rejected, Wee suggested that the PSD give all applicants who fail an explanation. If the students know why they are rejected, they would accept rejection better. Wee said some students might have received the scholarship even if they had fewer As in their SPM because they had chosen courses that are not popular. “Students are confident with their SPM results but they must bear in mind that there are more of them who got better results and it is impossible to give everyone the scholarship even if the allocation is increased by another 3,000 or 5,000 allocations,” he said.

Wee also advised the students not to use their family background to create a sense of sympathy.

In Ipoh, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economic Planning Unit) S.K. Devamany told theSun there are four avenues for SPM high-achievers to get the PSD scholarship to further their higher studies in the country or overseas.

They are:

» PSD scholarships for overseas degree programme. This is very competitive as the criteria is 70 points for academic excellence. The remaining 30 points are for interviews, family economic background and co-curricular activities. There are only 2,000 places for this overseas degree programme.

» 10,000 local scholarships for which applications open in June. » Getting into a local foreign university, which has an offshore campus in Malaysia like Nottingham University and Monash University. Students apply when they get a place.

» By first enrolling in Malaysianrecognised foreign universities in the United States, Britain and Australia. The same procedure applies. “A student must not be disheartened when he or she fails to get the overseas programme as there are three other alternative avenues to get the PSD scholarship,” Devaman said.

Alternatively, high-achievers can approach companies like Petronas, Tenaga Nasional and Mara to sponsor their scholarships. He said the PSD must explain clearly the method of selection. “We want parents to understand what the system is all about. “You must give everybody a chance, otherwise people will run away to other countries,” he said.

************************************************************************************

I don't agree if the scholarship does not based on the family background at all. If this happen, rich peoples who are able to pay for the college and university fee does not matter whether it's in the country or abroad will also get the scholarship. Then how about the needy who got kids but no money? This is about toss your luck, if you are lucky then you get the scholarship. If you are not, then stay home for the poor.

The result is the first thing to be filtered for scholarship of course, but the family background still play a role whether they are qualify or not.

By the way, who will run away sir?

world no tobacco day

this is interesting. i saw my friend yahoo messenger status message "world no tobacco day". i messaged him :

me : is it true?
him : true what?
me : your status message
him : yeah, i read about it on utusan malaysia
me : uh... any news about it on star or nst? lazy to translate into english
him : no idea...

so, i searched in wiki and found it! lol lucky. actually i just want to share the info about it. i did not know that we have world no tobacco day on may 31. so this is what wiki says :

World No Tobacco Day is observed around the world every year on May 31. The member states of the World Health Organization created World No Tobacco Day in 1987. It draws global attention to the tobacco epidemic and to the preventable death and disease it causes. It aims to reduce the 3.5 million yearly deaths from tobacco related health problems. From 1988 the WHO has presented one or more World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) Awards to organizations or individuals who have made exceptional contributions to reducing tobacco consumption.

so friends... why don't you quit smoking on may 31? maybe after that day you will quit smoking forever? i love you... and i don't want to see you die because of it. some peoples that love excuses will find them no matter what. why waste money? why waste life?

live life to the fullest!

ditto.

aliff aziz

he is Singaporean teen. he is cute and he has good voice. so i have no doubt why he can be a sudden hit. at first when i saw him was on tv -- in melodi program. my sister asked me "bro, do you think he is cute?" and my reply was simple "i think so".

then after a while, his song is a hit in Malaysia. as i said, no doubt. girls will get crazy and craving for his songs, album, pictures and even his signature [what about his undies? lol]. when the song keep playing on radio and peoples sing it everywhere, it becomes a good song to me too. lol.

then tonight, as i can't sleep... i browse about him on youtube. found some songs sang by him, of course he is not the original singer for all songs he sang in the anugerah competition [anugerah is a singing contest in singapore by media corp]. but he delivered them well... i'd say impressive. i did not expect he could sing ballade as good... but he did. unexpected... as i expected him to be a pop teen as some others do. i was wrong.

ok so here i share some of his videos.

this is his famous song :

mungkir bahagia - hazami's song sang by him :

mungkin - anuar zain's song sang by him... not bad :

more than words as i prefer english song than malay :

ok, i won't put the whole youtube here. you can browse some good songs sang by him such as sonata musim salju, mungkin, mungkir bahagia and many more.

akademi fantasia 6

ok i did not really follow this akademi fantasia 6. watched few concerts and never watch their diary. kinda fed up with the same old stories, typical. when i first watch, stacy was my favorite. none of my colleagues in the office agree with me. some chose nadia especially guys and girls chose nubhan for his cuteness. me? stick with stacy. my second favorite would be nadia of course. come on, i don't like singers because they are pretty. if i want to see pretty faces, i choose models... not singer. but malaysian especially girls [sorry, i know i'm mean but accept the fact girls!] voting by the looks not voice. not many guys into this voting thingy and suppose votes came from the girls. so no wonder many seasons won by guys. luckily this time won by girl again after mila broke the record for female.

i was happy that stacy won but upset that nadia won the 5th place. wth? she deserved 2nd place tho and 3rd should goes to riz. ok riz for the 2nd place but still 4th and 5th for nubhan and toi! urgh!

congrats to stacy for winning this competition. stay low as i believe you will do well in the future. make us malaysian proud ;)

ciao~

S'pore takes Pulau Batu Puteh, M'sia gets Middle Rocks

THE HAGUE: The International Court of Justice has ruled that Singapore has sovereignty over Pulau Batu Puteh while Malaysia owns Middle Rocks.

As for the South Ledge, the ICJ ruled that it belongs to the state in whose territorial waters it is located.

ICJ vice-president, Awn Shawkat Al-Khasawneh read out the judgment, which was carried live over RTM1 Friday.

Pulau Batu Putih, which Singapore calls Pedra Branca, an isle no larger than half a football field, is about 14.3km from Tanjung Penyusop in Johor and 46.3km from Singapore.

Middle Rocks is about half a nautical mile from Pulau Batu Putih and 1.7 nautical miles from South Ledge.

The 17-member bench heard oral arguments from Malaysia and Singapore between Nov 16 and 23 last year.

The judgment ends the 28-year old territorial dispute between Malaysia and Singapore and both countries had earlier pledged to abide by the decision of the ICJ that is final and not subject to appeal.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim described the judgment as a "win-win" situation. He said the status quo remained although Singapore has sovereignty over Pulau Batu Puteh and Malaysia over Middle Rocks.

northam hotel

Still about soccer. I did not watched alone at home. My colleagues and I have booked a room at Northam Hotel. So here I want to share some pictures of the hotel room. We made so much noise in the morning until the hotel staff came to us to make sure everything was fine. By the way the room price was RM200 only after we got government servant's discount ;)

The TV that surely shocked with our scream, shout, anger and hug -- UCL Final.

Ok here where we watched soccer together.

Small table beside the office table.

Shower room. Just beside the 2nd toilet and in the same room with jacuzzi.

Friend being retard :P

Its like a room for business. Complete with office table

Jacuzzi in the room. Can you believe it?

Big basins

The big bed -- but only one!

The 2nd toilet which located in the jacuzzi room

1st toilet which located near the entrance

When the additional time ended and it was time for penalty kick I played the Glory Man Utd's song through my cell phone and my friend played Chelsea's song on his laptop. It was a great fun! :)

man utd wins 2 cups

I told you before that Man Utd could win 2 cups. Remember? Well I did not post anything about our EPL winning but chose to stay low and will post about our double winning. We are the best in Europe now!

Ok this post is not about commenting the last night game. If you are a soccer fan, you surely did not sleep and stayed focus on every step they move. But if you are not, then still no use of telling the whole story and incident too.

Congratulation Man Utd. These two cups really a slap to other teams who gave us a lot of sarcastic comment and even a bad joke. After all, its all about Man Utd -- glory and winning. Congratulation to Ferguson and Querez too for bringing them to this stage.

The first goal ;)

1st goal by Lampard. Damn!

Drogba -- for slapping Vidic.

This was the best moment ever! I jumped as high as a mountain!

We won UCL for the 3rd time!

EPL is ours too!

Here is a funny video :

Glory glory Man Utd! :)

love hurts

ok for this post just ignore my style of writing. this writing should be a crap or junk or rubbish or noise as whatever you might want to put it. i don't use CAPS and i don't use proper way of writing. yes i know, i never write a proper one with proper english too. i'm fine with that.

i'm going to write about LOVE. its big, yes i know. if you find this word through google, you will find this from wikipedia :

Love represents a range of human emotions and experiences related to the senses of affection and sexual attraction.[1] The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

As an abstract concept love usually refers to a strong, ineffable feeling towards for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

enough? well ok, that is what encyclopedia says. love can be love between mother and son, father and son, sister and brother or even you and stranger. you never know. you might falling in love with someone you think a perfect one for you. but maybe he/she isn't. i guess everybody knows what is love and experience this feeling before. some even say "love is in the air". how true? if its in the air, you can easily grab them, ops no no not that easy. you can't even see love in the air. some might say "you don't see, but you feel". ok you feel the air, but how do you know its love? how can you believe in love when you don't even see, touch or feel it.

ever listen to a song call "love hurts"? yes sang by nazareth. its a cool song? no it is not... not at all. its a sad song... and of course its not cool at all. its hurt when you seeking too much and end up you got nothing... and to live in loneliness forever would never be the best either. remember there is an english quote "i wanna grow old with you" can't remember it was taken from what movie... it was an old movie for sure. do you believe in that? sigh. for me everything is so vague. i'm getting older and what other crap i can do better than dreaming?

life is full of ups and downs... yes. life is like a wheel.. yes. what else? ah ok i guess everyone is giving out their own words... many i suppose. some of you might getting down and down and down. not getting tired of it? some of us might have given up to seek for love... or worse believe that love never exist. how true? is true love really exist? ok i post an article about it before. but i doubt many will go through that lovely moment. dream on... its hard hard hard.

when your love does not work as you planned or dreamed... does it hurt? yes.. you can scream, you can cry, you can lock yourself in your room. as long as you feel relief. cry cry cry... whole night. come on! accept the fact. he/she doesn't love you!!!

so to those who is heartbroken... live life to the fullest!!! (eh who told me this???). life goes on... love exist? hell no!

note : this is not about me... its about my friend... poor friend :(

Happy Wesak Day

Picture taken here.

Happy Wesak Day to those who celebrate :)

Donate for needy

My blogger friend Rozella who is very concern about tragedy in China and Myanmar [since I was little kid I always confuse Myanmar and Burma which they both are the same -- why we still using both?] wants me to share this info with you. It was a bad disaster. Thanks God that we don't have cyclone and earthquake in Malaysia. I'm grateful.

I watched BBC this morning and they showed some news regarding these two tragedies. It was so sad to see people died and some still survive and struggling for foods. There was a news about a guy who stuck under bricks and walls, he was still alive and wanted to talk with his wife. After they managed to take him out, he died. That was very sad.

So, I'd like to share the links below with you. Hope you can help the victims and the needy.

Narnia : Prince Caspian

Next movie that I watched was Narnia : Prince Caspian. It was a great fantasy movie I'd say. I love this kind of movie a lot. Reached at the cinema around 9:00pm and cit chat around there until the show time at 9:30pm. Bought combo set of regular caramel popcorn with 2 big soft drinks -- I got small Narnia little glass though. I did ask her [the cashier] to change to light sweet popcorn as I don't fancy too-sweet-caramel popcorn anymore. She simply replied "The caramel is more expensive sir, and we don't allow customer to get a cheaper popcorn since you pay for the more expensive one". I was speechless. Fine then.

Here the story goes...

While standing on a train station in 1941, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are magically whisked away to a beach near an old and ruined castle. They soon discover that the ruins are Cair Paravel, where they once ruled as the Kings and Queens of Narnia. Although only a year has passed in their world, 1300 years have passed in Narnia. (what a lovely starting)

Trumpkin, a dwarf whom they rescue from drowning, tells them the sad tale: During their absence, a race of men called Telmarines have invaded Narnia, driving the Talking Beasts into the wilderness and pushing even their memory underground. Narnia now is ruled by King Miraz, a cruel despot. (the black bear was scary when Lucy tried to say hi to him)

Miraz also is an usurper, having killed his brother, King Caspian IX, to take the throne. His nephew, Prince Caspian, is initially ignorant of his uncle’s evil deeds, but learns the truth, and also about Old (pre-Telmarine) Narnia from Doctor Cornelius, his tutor. Miraz was childless and was thus willing for Caspian to be his heir, but when the Queen has a son, Cornelius warns Caspian that his life is now in danger. Caspian escapes and finds himself among the Talking Beasts. They accept him as the True King of Narnia and promise to help him regain this throne.

An army is assembled—although it is far short of the mighty armies that Narnia has been able to assemble in the past. Prince Caspian fights as best he can, but has been slowly losing to Miraz. Desperate for help, Caspian has blown Queen Susan’s horn—and it was that act that called the four children to Narnia. (the chasing part with horses was like the 1st episode of LOTR -- it was a heart-thumping)

Having heard the story, the true Kings and Queens of Narnia make their way to the battlefield. But the journey is long and hard, and the children lose their way. It is then that Lucy sees Aslan. Unfortunately, the others do not believe her. Their faith is tested, but in the end, Aslan leads them to Caspian. (it was sad to see so many Narnians died in the battle at Miraz's castle -- stupid Peter and Prince Caspian! It was absolutely because of YOU!)

The forces of evil are defeated in a battle by Aslan’s table. Miraz is killed by one of his own men. (After he killed, he announced to all army Miraz was killed by Narnian and declared war! He is a piece of shit though and the war begun! Love to see Aslan used his magic to make the river into Neptune illustration and also how he made the trees fought for Narnia as well)

In the end, Aslan returns the Telmarines back to their world, and the children back to the train station. (This is the sad part)

I won't tell you the whole story. Enough with some synopsis. Lol. There were so many characters to tell about. I'd vote 5 out of 5 stars!

I have tagged some bloggers. Check out my comment.

Bloggers Unite For Human Rights

I know its late for me to write about this since everybody wrote about this on 15th. I guess its ok for me to write about it after 2 days?

Now, I'm going to write about blogger's right. Nowadays, blogger writes with caution and afraid if the post touches any politic matter, they will be jailed. Why is it so? Blogger now has no freedom of speech and no freedom of blogging. We suppose to have freedom to write anything about what we see, hear and think. This is our blog, not others. Blogger have been cursed and pointed out as sources that tells malicious stories. But where did we get the stories? Thats the point. Government is protecting themselves from the truth sometimes. So, they block blogger from saying anything other than supporting them. If it is so, why don't they ban all the opposition's newspapers and websites? As we all know, newspapers and tv by government have been filtered. Yes, they control the media. Its very sad that we blogger have no right to share any opinion and say what we think of our country. If its good then its ok, but if its bad? Sigh. Looks what happen to Raja Petra Kamarudin well known as RPK. He was jailed on sedition accuse. He wrote about Altantuya's murder and I don't see anything wrong with this. If you follow the case, you will know Altantuya's father has been asking for further investigation and willing to give more evidence. But he was not entertained by Malaysia's government. Even no reply when Mongolia's Prime Minister sent a letter. The only media they depend on is CNN. I wonder how if we in his father's shoes, has a daughter and been killed tragically -- bombed!

Ok, I guess that is all I want to say. No freedom of speech anymore. I need to open the dictionary and learn what is democracy once again.

Age That I Wish To Go Back To

Tagged by Bluecrystaldude.

Age that I wish to go back to? Hmm pretty interesting topic/tag to talk about. Ok, I choose age of 20. Why I choose age 20? Because so many things that happen when I was 20 and how I wish I can change my present just to turn the time backward.

At the age of 20...
I got my 1st car -- Satria GTi. I was so happy to drive around with this new sporty car. I got a lot of compliments from friends and strangers. Yes, at that time this brand new car just made. It was a shiny silverish car with Lotus handling. Meaning, the engine and system were made by Lotus. Just some parts provided by Proton. Yes, I know Proton sucks but for some reasons I'd say Satria GTi, Putra and Perdana were the best cars ever by Proton.

At the age of 20...
I had many lovers. I don't need to elaborate more on this. I know, I was a brat. But trust me, none of them were really get cheated by me. I know, its complicated. I had a relationship that I won't forget till my last breath. So many sweet memories. I erased the bitter ones.

At the age of 20...
I lost my beloved Grandma. She was the one who raised me since I was born. Yes, my parent too but how many hours parent were with me? They had to work. So, grandma was the one who taught me to be discipline, a good boy and always keep me clean and tidy. Oh, I still remember the Brylcream she put on me. It was way too much sometimes, but I never complain. She cooked good foods and always smile whenever I was happy or told her good news. She was kind of aggressive but very loving. Yes, if she didn't act that way, we would be nastier. The saddest day in my life was when she passed away. I got a very good result for my final exam but she didn't manage to see it and to see me jumped and smiled happily. I didn't jump or smile. I was frustrated and heartbroken. Truly, I miss her.

At the age of 20...
I was a playful teen. I started to know many kind of peoples who happen to be my friends. I chose wrong ones most of the time. I started to learn all bad things. Yes, as other teens would say "Once in a life time"? No, it was a bad decision. I didn't focus on my study. So, end up I got a bad result. Frustrated and I felt like I was the only loser in this world. I ruined my grandma and grandpa's hope. I was totally devastated.

At the age of 20...
I went to Europe. I went to Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and Luxermberg. It was a good time. That was the first time I touched snow, I was speechless. I was amazed by the softness of the snow and its color. Hmm. I learnt some German words like "Ich Spreche Kein Deutsch", "Guten Tag", "Guten Morgen" and "Gute Nacht". Yes, I still remember some other words too.

So, thats all.

Check out other delicious photos:

Till death do they part

TAIPEI: A Taiwan couple who were happily married for 66 years died on the same day, becoming the envy of friends and neighbours who thought it was the perfect ending to an ideal marriage.

Wang Wei-chen, 97, and his wife Wang Lin-hsueh, 87, lived in Kaohsiung, south Taiwan, and had been married for 66 years, the Merit Times said.

Recently, Wang Lin-hsueh fell ill and was hospitalised. At 4.30pm onMay 7, she died in the hospital, the paper quoted her son Tung-hsin as saying.

“We transported my mother’s remains to a funeral parlour to prepare for her funeral. As soon as we arrived at the funeral parlour, I received a phone call from family members saying my father, who had also been ill, had died in his sleep at home,” he said.

“We were shocked because we had not told my father that mom had died. But during my mother’s last days, dad seemed to know that she was dying and insisted on going to hospital to visit mom, but we did not allow him because of his health. “We would rather think that father died because he did not want mother to go alone, but wanted to keep her company.”

Wang Ling-ying, the couple’s daughter, said her parents were deeply in love with each other.
“They were always together, tending flowers in the garden or listening to classical music at home. Father liked to go mountain climbing and sometimes took mother along or took her on overseas sightseeing trips. When father was 90, he was still taking mom on motorbike joy rides,”
she said. – dpa

************************************************************************************
I know all of us want to have a happy marriage. Its depend on how you maintain your relationship -- based on trust and loyalty. People are tend to cheat or lie but if your love is pure, nothing could beat it. You won't meet any other woman/man, worst you sleep with that other woman/man.

The equation is simple I suppose.

Love + Loyal = Long lasting marriage
Love + Lust = A short term marriage [does this one sounds like one night stand?]

Yes, simple.

I have some friends who are married but end up with divorce. Let say 2 out of 5 face a failure in their marriage. Is it the people nowadays don't appreciate the marriage and love the love one like oldies? Or its just a trend?

Yes, I have read somewhere about gender equivalent. I agree none of the gender should be discriminated. Some how, I got a point that against the gender equivalent. My opinion is : When a woman works, they will get or buy whatever they wants or needs. So, nothing special on man about money. Worse case, woman has better job than man. When this happen, every time they quarrel even on little problem, woman intend to ask for a divorce rather than have a sit and solve the problem. Woman thinks she has everything and she does not need to worry about her man even if he goes away forever. Oldies were different. Most of the women during that time were housewives. So, woman really depended on man. That is just an opinion.

Second thing is about the balance. I have posted an article about this before -- click here. People nowadays don't think about balance anymore. They tend to focus on building wealth more than love. Yes, wealth is important but at the same time love is important too. So, most people work like there is no tomorrow, 7 days a week and until midnight. Overtime count. So, when will you have time for your love one? Worse you don't even have time for yourself. This is also a reason why marriage cannot last for long.

Ok, that's all for this time. Cheers!

Man's life

God created the donkey
and said to him.
'You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly from sunrise to sunset
carrying burdens on your back. You will eat grass,
you will have no intelligence and you will live
50 years.'
The donkey answered:
'I will be a donkey, but to live
50 years is much. Give me only 20 years'
God granted his wish.

God created the dog

and said to him:
'You will guard the house of man. You will be his best Friend.
You will eat the scraps that he gives you and you will live
30 years.
You will be a dog. '

The dog answered:
'Sir, to live
30 years is too much, give me only 15 years.
' God granted his wish.

God created the monkey

and said to him:
'You will be a monkey. You will swing from branch to branch doing tricks.
You will be amusing and you will live

20 years. '
The monkey answered:
'To live
20 years is too much, give me only 10 years.'
God granted his wish.

Finally God created man
...
and said to him:
'You will be man, the only rational creature on the face of the earth.
You will use your intelligence to become master over all the animals.
You will dominate the world and you will live
20 years.'

Man responded:

'Sir, I will be a man but to live only

20 years is very little,
give me the
30 years that the donkey refused,
the
15 years that the dog did not want and
the
10 years the monkey refused.
' God granted man's wish

And since then, man lives

20 years as a man ,

marries and spends

30 years like a donkey,
working and carrying all the burdens on his back.

Then when his children are grown,
he lives
15 years like a dog taking care of the house
and eating whatever is given to him,

so that when he is old,
he can retire and live
10 years like a monkey,
going from house to house and from one son or
daughter to another doing tricks to amuse his grandchildren.

That's Life.

Isn't it ??????????

special dedication

I want to make this post a special dedication to my dear blogger friend Ej. Its about her pet -- a cat named Nonie who dropped from 25th floor off her house!

Yes, I agree... it was a shock news when I read her blog and at the same time I was sad. I could imagine how bad the injuries and how painful it was. Until now, Nonie is still not in good condition. She needs to do some minor operation on her leg but the operation only can be done when she is back to normal... meaning she is happy, good appetite and drink water. Recent, she didn't eat and worse not even drink water. The latest news I read on Ej blog, Nonie was dehydrated. Sigh. Poor Nonie... she has been admitted for water dripping. Hopefully she will be fine and can go through the minor operation procedure. Lets us pray for her... as a happy cat as before.

These are my cats. I love them so much and I understand what Ej is going through now...

lending & borrowing money

I have big problem with this since I was a little kid. Yes, problem of lending and borrowing money. I have problem to do both. Since I don't like to lend people money, I believe people will feel exactly the same, and that is why I don't borrow either. Last resort always my lovely Malaysian banks.

Different case with family. I trust my family with my fully heart. So, as long as I have some saving to help them when they are in need, I surely will help. But if the saving not even enough for my meals, I'd tell them straight. I'm kind of straight forward person sometimes... yes, sometimes.

I intend to write about this when an incident happen. Before I write about this further, I'd like to tell you that this month I have a big financial crisis. Not that I spent over the budget... but I had to help my sister. She has a family and her husband is driving an airport limousine. Bad news was the limousine is broken. Something went wrong with the engine and some other parts too. So, urgently they needed RM*,***.**. I have invested RM*,***.** to a friend which I will get my money back in a year time with some interest. Sort of a business I'd say... I didn't want to see my sister in sorrow begging other people for money, so I use all the saving left [kept some for legal fees payment on Saturday] to help her. Yes... now I'm stuck -- financial crisis.

Ok back to the incident. Last week I plan to go with colleague for fishing, somewhere in Kedah -- a chalet on the water, beautiful scenery, calm water and a lot of fish. A colleague came to me and collect the money. It happen the plan was canceled because the owner of the chalet booked the wrong dates!. Ok fine. The plan canceled so I should get my money back, right? I waited for few days, no response. So, I assumed he has forgotten about the money. I met him and reminded him [did I told you that I was a straight forward person? gulp! I was hardly thinking a reason to ask about the money!] about the money. He said ok. BUT still I didn't get the money. Can you believe this? If you are at his situation, will you just say ok and pretend that nothing need to be done? It was unexpected and I was frustrated. Ok fine. The RM**.** isn't a big amount of money but due to my critical financial crisis, I do need the money to survive until end of the month.

I won't ask him about the money anymore and to lend him even a single cent seem impossible. No... not anymore. A new lesson I've learned.

God bless.

Disabled `storm' Malaysian parliament

Kuala Lumpur, May 9: Thirty angry wheelchair-bound citizens "stormed" the Malaysian parliament to demand apologies from two members who had made remarks disparaging to the disabled while confronting Indian origin lawmaker Karpal Singh.

Members of the Malaysians Against the Discrimination of the Disabled (MADD) Thursday booed two ruling coalition members, demanded disciplinary action against them and urged that Dewan Rakyat, the country's parliament, be made "disabled-friendly".

A senior opposition leader, Singh, 68, has been wheelchair-bound after a road accident in 2005.

The two members under attack of the disabled, Bung Mokhtar Radin and Ibrahim Ali, had asked wheelchair-bound Karpal Singh to stand up and show respect to the speaker.

Ali apologised to the handicapped people and said: "I never offended the handicapped as I only had problem with Karpal Singh."

"I hope you (all) do not misunderstand. There are groups that politicised the issue and took advantage of you all. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I love very much all the disabled people," Ali was quoted by The Sun newspaper Friday.

Ali said he had also proposed that all the handicapped received a RM500 ($15 approx.) monthly allowance.

However, when opposition member Lim Lip Eng asked whether he would apologise to Karpal Singh, Ali said he would not. The physically challenged visitors then booed him.

The coalition representatives then decided not to accept his earlier apology.

Radin said: "It was never in my mind and heart to discredit or look down on the disabled. In my constituency, I take care of them and build houses for them, but I did not see Karpal Singh representing the disabled."

His ire was against an intervention by Singh.

"As a disabled, he should act like one, but his mouth is not like a disabled," said Radin, but added in a conciliatory tone: "I did not mean to hurt the disabled, if I am wrong, I apologise."

Note : I got this article from here and here.

Talk wise... in parliament. MP should be an example I suppose?

Iron Man

Last night I went to cinema. Guess what I watch? [ignore the title lah!] It was Iron Man. Watched the show at 9.55pm at Queensbay Mall [as usual I went there early to read some books at Borders and this time I read Bond for Dummies hehe].

Here is the movie plot :

During a business trip to Afghanistan to demonstrate Stark Industries' new weapon, the "Jericho missile" cluster bomb [it was so cool... I was astonish!], Tony Stark's convoy is attacked and he is kidnapped by the terrorist group Ten Rings, who order him to build a Jericho missile for them. Instead, he and fellow captive Dr. Yinsen secretly build a crude but strong power armor fueled by a miniature "arc reactor", a smaller version of a fictional power source previously invented by Stark. The arc reactor supplies energy to an electromagnet which prevents embedded shrapnel from reaching Stark's heart, which would kill him [I'm confuse with this part, was there any metal piece in his body still? And it should came from the metal protection he wore on his body right? Not the bullet? Urgh.. confusing]. Dr. Yinsen is killed in the ensuing escape attempt when he stalls the guards to buy Stark enough time to power the suit [watery eyes when he mentioned about his family and he wanted to see them for so long]. Using the built-in weapons in his suit, Stark defeats several terrorists, destroys their weapons stockpile, and escapes, though his suit is destroyed as he crashlands in the desert [in my heart I shouted "yeah! kick their ass hard!]. Upon being picked up by the Air Force and returning to the United States, Stark declares that his company will no longer manufacture weapons. His business partner, Obadiah Stane [the fucking betrayer!], tells him that this move is blocked by the board members shortly after.

During his self-imposed sabbatical from public life, Stark tinkers with the design of his power suit, slimming it down and refining its flight capability. He also builds a more powerful and reliable mini-arc reactor to power both his pacemaker and the suit. During his first public appearance since his announcement, he is shown pictures of Stark Industries weapons in the hands of terrorist groups, including the Jericho missiles he refused to build for them. He also discovers that Stane has been supplying weapons to both the U.S. troops and the terrorists, as well as being the one to shut Stark out of the board while he recovers. Faced with the realization of what his company has done, Stark dons the power suit and flies to Afghanistan, rescuing Yinsen's village from the Ten Rings [it was sad to think about this Gumira Village -- it remind you about Yinsen and love how Iron Man killed the bastards!]. In destroying their weapon stockpiles, he accidentally draws the attention of the United States Air Force and his friend and company military liaison, Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes, who handles USAF weapons development.

Determined to make amends for his mistakes, Stark sends his assistant Pepper Potts to find the shipping records of Stark Industries, so he can track down the illicit shipments and destroy them. While hacking into the system she discovers that it was Stane who hired the Ten Rings to kill Stark, but they had reneged on the deal when they realized who the target was. She also discovers that Stane has recovered the power suit prototype and has reverse engineered his own version. Stane, upon realizing Pepper's discovery, steals Stark's arc reactor from his chest to power his new suit, leaving Stark for dead. Using his first reactor, which was not designed to power his latest armor [no wonder the power just left little % and couldn't last for long], Stark does battle with Stane atop Stark Industries and the surrounding streets, defeating him when the full-sized arc reactor that powers the lab is deliberately overloaded under Stark's instruction by Potts. Stark manages to escape in time when his reactor almost fails completely, but reactivates. Afterwards, Stark holds a press conference where his government contacts expect him to state that the armor was piloted by an unidentified "bodyguard" (his cover story in many of the comics). However, he instead makes his identity as Iron Man public. After the credits, Nick Fury visits Stark to inform him of the Avenger Initiative [eh how come I missed this Nick Fury visit part??].

How sweet?

Isn't she lovely?

Remember Robert Downey Jr. used a nice car in this movie? I wonder what Audi was that. Here are some pictures of the car [got it from Reza] :

Oh btw, I want to share something with you... [I wondered last night why the actor's face looks familiar to me] :

Lol. Now I understand why.

So, overall it was a very good movie. You know I love super hero a lot since I was a little kid. Next should be The Incredible Hulk... the best part is Hulk will fight with a same size monster! Yesh baby...

Psychopath Test

Read this question, come up with an answer and
then scroll down to the bottom for the result.
This is not a trick question.
It is as it reads. No one I know has got it right.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy whom she
did not know. She thought this guy was amazing. She believed him to be
her dream guy so much, that she fell in
love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could
not find him. A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive for killing her sister?

Answer:

She was hoping the guy would appear at the funeral again. If you
answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test
by a famous American Psychologist used to test if one has the same
mentality as a killer.

Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the
question correctly.

If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for you.

If you got the answer correct, please let me know ...

Government asked to curb Bloggers

(Bernama) -- The government has to find ways to curtail bloggers from abusing the Internet to spread lies and defame the leaders, said Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob (BN-Bera).

"We notice that a lot of bloggers have been sowing the seeds of discord among the races, religions... I believe there must be a limit," he said in a debate on the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat here today.

He felt that there ought to be a law governing bloggers like those imposed on the print and broadcast media.

"The people believe more in the bloggers than the newspapers... I am aware that a newspaper was censured by the Internal Security Ministry for publishing a sensational story but the bloggers could continue churning out malicious stories," he said.

Ismail Sabri also proposed the promulgation of an aerospace policy and law like those of the United Kingdom, Russia, United States and South Africa to protect the government and industry.

"From what I understand, although microsatellites were launched by the private sector, if there were a mishap, the government has to bear the consequences as the application was made by the government," he said.

Datuk Hasni Mohamed (BN-Pontian) felt that cable television network Astro should come under the purview of the Broadcasting Act 1998 under the ambit of the Information Ministry and not under the Energy, Water and Communications Ministry.

He said this was to ensure that Astro would adhere to local values, culture and needs.

The sitting resumes on Monday.

I got this article here. Kinda upset with government regarding blogger-bashing matter. Instead of newspapers and TV... we need some materials like opposition's websites, blogs and newspapers too -- so we can listen to both parties. Then, we make our own conclusion. It's based on our own opinion from what we see and hear. I guess there is no such thing as freedom of speech in Malaysia.

God bless.

Malaysian blogger faces jail for sedition

I've watched about this on TV and read on newspapers, websites and blogs. I dare not to comment regarding this issue as I don't think we bloggers are safe enough to talk about politics. This isn't fair tho but that is only my immature opinion [I suppose?]. So, here I want to share some articles/news which I read online. Poor Raja Petra Kamarudin...

I got this article from here.

Malaysian blogger faces jail for sedition

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) -- A prominent Malaysian blogger was charged Tuesday with sedition for allegedly implying the deputy prime minister was involved in the sensational killing of a young Mongolian woman.

Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin, who has not denied that he linked Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak to the slaying, pleaded innocent to the charge, telling reporters that he should have the right to hold the powerful accountable for wrongdoing.

He was taken to prison after he refused to post bail. The court set the trial for October 6. If convicted, he faces up to three years in jail.

"I am not posting bail. See you guys in October," Raja Petra told supporters before police took him away. "I will be out for Christmas. Don't worry."

Dozens of opposition members and bloggers gathered to show support for Raja Petra outside the Kuala Lumpur court where he was charged.

"This is an attempt to clamp down on all sorts of freedom," said Nurul Izzah Anwar, an opposition member of Parliament and daughter of opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.

The sedition charge stems from an April 25 article that Raja Petra posted on his popular Web site Malaysia Today.

The article allegedly implies that Najib and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, were involved in the 2006 killing in Malaysia of Altantuya Shaariibuu, a 28-year-old Mongolian interpreter.

Abdul Razak Baginda, a close associate of Najib, is charged with abetting the murder. Two policemen have been accused of killing her and destroying her body with explosives in a jungle clearing. The trial of the three men began in June 2007 and is under way.

The prosecution contends that Abdul Razak had the woman killed because she pestered him for money after he ended their affair.

Prosecutors said Raja Petra "published a seditious article, which contains seditious sentences," including allegations that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is covering up evidence implicating Najib in the killing.

Raja Petra said he was not worried by the sedition charge and suggested he had evidence against the leaders.

"I am happy. We bloggers have declared war on the government. We are not scared of the government. The government should be scared of us," he told reporters.

"Is it seditious to influence people against corrupt leaders? There is nothing seditious," he said. "Do you think I do not have evidence?"

Some of Malaysia's most popular blogs offer strongly anti-government commentaries and present themselves as a substitute for mainstream media, which are controlled by political parties or closely linked to them

Raja Petra refuses bail, stages hunger strike
Charles Ramendran and Maria J.Dass

PETALING JAYA (May 7, 2008): Blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, the webmaster of malaysia-today.net who was charged with sedition yesterday for news content in his website has refused bail.

In an act of defiance against the charges, Raja Petra has gone on a hunger strike in the Sungai Buloh prison where he is being held and has refused to meet anyone, including his wife Marina Lee Abdullah.

"He won't listen to anyone of us and I am so worried for his health. Except for a drink of water just before being charged in court on Tuesday, he has not eaten or drank anything since. He has kidney problems and I don't think he can take this hunger strike if he goes on for days like this," said Marina when contacted by theSun today.

She said Raja Petra developed kidney ailments when he went on a five-day hunger strike during his detention under the Internal Security Act (ISA) in 2000.

"My husband's lawyers and I had tried to post bail early today (yesterday) to free Raja Petra but he had not just refused bail but also declined to see any of them.

"I believe my husband is doing this as he feels he has been unfairly judged and persecuted. He is angry, just as how everyone else is with what has happened and I know he will only stop this strike when they release him. I can only pray for his health for now, I hope everyone will do so too," said Marina.

Raja Petra is charged under the Sedition Act for an article in his website titled "Lets send the Altantuya murderers to hell" just days after he was called up by police for questioning.

During the questioning session by police officers in the federal police commercial crimes department on Saturday, the blogger who is known for his fiery and no-holds barred comments and write-ups refused to answer any of the questions put to him.

According to Puchong MP and lawyer Gobind Singh Deo, Raja Petra himself has to agree to posting bail to walk out of Sungai Buloh prison.

"Someone can post the money, but only Raja Petra can post bail," said Gobind, who declined to comment on Raja Petra's current situation.

Civil society groups yesterday urged the government to reconsider its use of the Sedition Act to pursue charges aginst blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.

In a press statement, the Center for Policy Initiatives (CPI), National Alliance of Bloggers, Writer Alliance for Media Independence (WAMI), Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) and the KL and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall said: "In our view the sedition charge is malicious and without merit."

They added that it is also politically motivated and aimed at silencing a principled and uncompromising voice speaking against the abuse of power, including those stemming from the highest level of government and authority.

The group said the Sedition Act, enacted by the British colonial government, should have no place in a democratic society as unlike the law on defamation, one cannot defend oneself form a charge.

"In other words messengers may be shot for simply uttering the truth," said the group.

That the state is using its legal apparatus to charge Raja Petra with sedition instead of the aggrieved party resorting to civil defamation points to a need for thorough reform of our media laws, a demand consistently raised by civil society and progressive political parties.

The group said this action of the government coming just a few days after World Press Freedom Day on Saturday makes a mockery of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s expression of commitment to democratic and social reforms to promote a more open and transparent government.

The groups said the charge against Raja Petra is in connection with a post in his blog titled "Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell" in which he raised pertinent questions on various facts of the case that are already within the domain of public knowledge.

Editor of Malaysia Today news portal and blog Raja Petra Kamarudin was charged in a Petaling Jaya sessions court with sedition in connection with the article which he wrote and posted at www.malaysia-today.net on April 25, 2008.

"This action not only runs counter to the government's expressed promotion of a democratic, informed and participatory society, it also smacks of a renewal of the tactics of fear and intimidation which were recently resoundingly rejected by the Malaysian electorate," the statement said.

I got this from here.

Raja Petra to be freed
Charles Ramendran and Tan Yi Liang

PETALING JAYA (May 8, 2008): malaysia-today.net's webmaster Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin, who refused bail on a sedition charge and went on a hunger strike in Sungai Buloh prison, has agreed to post bail after being persuaded by his wife today.

However, due to the fact that he only decided past noon, the 58-year-old blogger had to be held until tomorrow and is expected to be produced in the Petaling Jaya sessions court for his release.

In a sessions court here, Raja Petra's lawyer J. Chandra, who was with the blogger's wife, Marina Lee Abdullah, said the court had to follow procedures when releasing an accused under remand.

It is learnt that bail for those held is usually posted in the early hours of the day to enable police to produce the accused before noon.

"We tried to get him out by today but the judge chose to follow procedures and did not want to make an exception for him," said Chandra.

Marina had met with her husband in prison early today for about 10 minutes. She was relieved when he agreed to come home and end the hunger strike.

"Probably the note I left him on Wednesday in the prison helped a bit. All my note said was 'I want you home'. He was fine although he looked down due to a backache. He also told me he had something to eat and drink," she said.

Raja Petra is expected to be brought to court at 9.45am tomorrow after she posted bail of RM5,000.

Marina said although the online fund raiser for her husband's bail was closed several hours after it was open on Tuesday (May 6), it continued to swell and currently stands at more than RM44,000. On the first day, RM34,000 was collected from supporters of the controversial blogger known for his fiery and no-holds barred comments and articles.

She said although Raja Petra would decide what to do with the remainder of the money, she suggests the fund could be used to help bloggers in a similar situation.

"There is another blogger who is being charged, and posted bail of RM3,000. The general consensus is that we should keep the money for other bloggers who get into trouble like this," she said, adding that they would put it to an online vote.

Have you seen a Chief Minister sit in Economy Class?

Note : This is not from me. I found this post here.

As Ning and I were lining up to board our flight to Penang on Wednesday afternoon, I spotted a familiar face standing in front of us in the queue. So I whispered to Ning.

Me: Look in front of us. It's Guan Eng.

Ning: Who?

Me: YAB Mr. Lim Guan Eng, the Chief Minister of Penang.

Ning: No lah.

Me: Yes lah! I know how he looks lah. It's the CM lah.

Ning: Takkan CM jalan sorang sorang. If he's the CM, where's the bodyguards and the officers and the rombongan and kaum kerabat?

Me: Tak percaya? Watch and learn.

So I walked up to Yang Amat Berhormat, introduced myself and asked to take a picture. He smiled and obliged.

YAB CM: Hey, I know you! You're Ning Baizura!

Ning: YAB Lim, good afternoon.

YAB CM: Come, come, we take a picture. Vernon, here's my card. Email me the pictures OK.

Me: Definitely, sir.

Ambik kau. CM pun peminat katanya!

Ning and I really felt honoured. But we felt more surprised that the Chief Minister of a state was travelling all by himself like any normal rakyat jelata. But the biggest surprise in store for us was yet to come.

As usual, we sat in First Class. I expected the CM to be seated somewhere in front of us but then I realised he wasn't in First Class. Where did he disappear to???

I popped my head round the curtain that veils First Class and Economy Class and guess who I saw sitting in the front row seat of Economy quietly reading the newspapers?

YAB Mr. Lim, you have my deepest respect. You have made history by being the first Chief Minister in this country to sit in Economy Class whilst in office as Chief Minister. You really mean what you say when you talk about cost-cutting. Sir, you have shown me leadership by example.

Of course I asked permission to take his picture sitting in Economy and he laughed. And I said I'd blogged about it and he laughed some more, and gave permission. Ketua Menteri yang berjiwa rakyat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really salute Lim Guan Eng's attitude.

my pictures gone?

Damn. A word that came out from my mouth as soon as I realize that those pictures I attached with World Music Festival are gone.

When I viewed help desk topics, there are many questions regarding this matter. Urgh! I just can't believe it.

The weird thing is some peoples/bloggers/readers/friends can see them, but some don't.

To upload them again is just a waste of time since I have deleted them from my laptop. No, I won't upload it anymore. This isn't the first time it happen to me, it happen few times before too. But fortunately they were back in the post. I'm not sure about this one.

Hopefully everything is back to normal. Enough said.

world music festival 2008

Since I was so busy these few days... so, I didn't have much time for blogging. Not even time for buying my broken belt. Gees!

Ok, lets go back to the topic. I went to the World Music Festival 2008. The venue was at the Botanic Garden, Penang for 3 days which was on May 2, 3 & 4. Ticket price was RM50 for adult and RM20 for children. Its classy... so the price was reasonable.

The banner

The 1st day was on Friday. I was worry that we would be stuck in the traffic jam. Penangite knows that its always a bad traffic on Friday since people are going back to their hometown, yeah... we have 2 days off for Saturday and Sunday. Everybody driving their car and end up traffic jam on the bridge and jetty. Even though I don't nag, mumble or whine... still I don't have a smile on my face every Friday. Thanks God that I've changed my working schedule to 7.30am - 4.30pm. Which most people going back at 5pm! Lucky me... Ok enough crap. Mom, my 2 sisters and a sister friend want to join the music festival. Sisters went to facial salon and hair salon, end up I couldn't go back early like usual. I fetch them around 5pm. Again, thanks to God... it wasn't that bad for the traffic. Reached home, we rushed to shower and got ourselves ready as soon as possible. We need to run from the bad traffic again which people from the factories were going back to town... its weird right... when people who lives in southern work in northern and it happen otherwise to people who lives in northern. Most Penangite having this problem tho... We reached there around 7pm. There were few car parks there, marked with A, B, C & D. After we parked the car, the organizer leaded us to the shuttle van. Oh it was so convenience! Managed to buy some mineral waters and we got in. Everybody were tagged by a green wrist band at the entrance after you pass the ticket to them for approval.

We walked happily till in front of the stage. We chose the left side of the field for our seats. There were no chairs... just field, ground, soil, green grass... I guess they wanted to keep it green and nature environment? We didn't mind, not at all =) The opening was awesome by Dya Singh. Made us applause loud and screaming! They have 2 stages -- they started with the left stage and they prepared the right stage for the 2nd band, and they repeated the same thing over and over. So, for those sat in the middle were lucky! The whole night was fantastic. My family had a lot of fun. We even danced, moved our body together and teased each other. Enjoyed watching others with their style of dancing too... Not to mention the bands! They were absolutely fabulous and could attract the crowd! Around 10pm we were starving. I went to pee and bought them some pizzas by Pizza Hut. It ended around 12 midnight. We used the shuttle van again to the car park. It was well organized because even tho there were so many peoples, they managed to keep us calm and not clumsy at all. Oh btw, I saw my blogger friend Riz there as well. We were suppose to meet, he left his cell phone in my email and I wrote them down on a piece of paper but misplaced. My fault... Sorry Riz... now I got your number on my cell phone, I swear =)

The green wrist band

My family

The opening -- Dya Singh

From Denmark -- my 3rd choice

From Reunion Islands -- My 4th choice. They have great instruments and songs

People were having fun...

Nigeria dance that caught our eyes

Ok, the 2nd day. I went there with another blogger friend Apom. So, this time I knew how this music festival goes, so I prepared myself with some mineral waters and pizzas. Also went to toilet before go in front of the stage. We were tagged by the orange wrist band at the entrance. This time I wanted to sit in the middle but was crowded. So, I sat on the right side which I could also see the big screen when the band was at the left stage. Man... my 1st favorite band would be Kumpulan Kinabalu Merdu Sound from Sabah, Malaysia. I love the flute, bamboo and all their instruments. Not to mention the typical Sabah dance which I think very nice. Love their musics as well...! Irish performed again for the 2nd night. Last night they replaced a band from USA because they were stuck at Taiwan airport. Irish band would be the 2nd favorite. They knew how to catch the crowd attention and made us dance and clap our hand with smile. This time they managed to make us, I mean all of us stand! Everybody danced and kept clapping our hands. I saw my long-time-didn't-meet god bro as well there. He came all the way down from KL -- Nickk. We bought Haagen Dazz ice cream too. Yummy~

The orange wrist band

The Irish... they performed twice -- 1st and 2nd day

My 1st choice... band from Sabah

Around 12 we moved. My friend wanted to go to club as we didn't go to any club for ages. I told him that I couldn't go into any club since I wore sandals. But he insisted to go, ok we went to Slippery Senoritas and there was still cover charge after 12. I was shock. I didn't know everything just change... drastically. The cover charge at SS was RM50 -- crap. Then we went to Momo and the cover charge was RM40 -- another crap. And last we asked at Carmen, it was RM30 -- still crap since they played only oldies which some of them even before I was born! It was almost 1am and it is a waste if we go in. We canceled the plan and went straight home.

I had fun... =)
Thanks God... Amin.

police report

Yesterday around 3.17pm I got a call from stranger. A Chinese guy... I could guess it right since his Chinese's accent was so strong when he spoke Malay with me. It was so hard to understand and very confusing. At that time I was in the office doing overtime with some friends.

The conversation went... [I'd translate the conversation to English since I understand some of you might not understand Malay]

Him : Are you Faisal?
Me : Yes and you?
Him : When are going to pay your debt about RM260?
Me : What?@#$
Him : Do not pretend that you don't know me... we met last night at Relau Workshop...
Me : Me? [astonish]
Him : Are you Faisal? You don't know me?
Me : Yes of course I'm Faisal... I don't know who you are! What's wrong with RM260 and what did you sell for that amount of money?
Him : Last night we met... forgotten?
Me : I won't pay a single cent since I don't know you and I don't owe anyone.
Him : I don't care! You must pay! [shouting]
Me : If you think I was the one who met you last night as you mentioned, lets meet up to prove that I'm not that person... someone might using my name and phone number.
Him : [hang up the phone]

I called him back, but it was a public phone number. I was pissed off, yes. I was worry, yes. So, I continued my work until 5.30pm and went home.

At home I told the whole story to mom and she asked me to make a police report because he threaten me. So, after dinner and shower I went to the nearest police station to make a report. Went there with mom and my niece, the little baby. She just didn't want me to go out alone at this moment. Ok, no argument... I took her with me. Went to Bayan Lepas police station and I had to wait like 15 minutes before my turn [I reached there around 9.15pm]. When done with the report, they told me that I've to go to the Penang Headquarters for another report which will lead for further investigation. I have no idea why they can't just deliver the report to the headquarters instead of me have to drive to town again [remember I just came back home from town and its not that near]. But ok, I followed the order. Drove to the headquarters and I couldn't park the car in the police station area. Ok, I parked outside of the station and left mom and niece in the car since the baby was sleeping. Went in, and met the officer in charge. The officer was lovely [a little crude in the beginning] and lots of smiles. He read my report that I brought from the Bayan Lepas police station. He asked me few question again, some already mentioned in the report and some new questions. He kept mentioning that if I make a false police report, I will be the one who get caught. I smiled. Then he kept asking me whether I owe anyone money include friends, relative or gangster [which we called them Ah Long]. Simple reply I gave him "No". Around 11pm we went home.

Today not a good day for me... But this is life... Life goes on =)
Keep smiling and God bless... Amin.

end of bppc and happy labour day

I'm tired physically and mentally, really. To those who didn't read my blog earlier on might wonder what is BPPC? Don't worry, kindly click here.

Last 3 days were the busiest days ever in my life. I worked from 7.30am - 5.30pm on Monday, 7.30am - 10pm on Tuesday and 7.30am - 2.30am yesterday [yes it was Wednesday]. Reached home late about 3am and continued watching soccer semi final between Chelsea and Liverpool until almost 6am. Oh ok, ignore about the soccer thingy as I won't mention or write much in this post [see you Chelsea in the UCL final and lets race for EPL].

As you know I was with logistic bureau this year for this BPPC event. So, what I did was checking the computer whether its functioning well [which most of it handled by system bureau], good condition with furnitures like tables, chairs, keypad lock, banners and so on. Instead of those, we have to make sure everything works smoothly and the place is always clean. Doesn't matter its at our own office or outside. Yes we worked outside of the office as well.

From April 1, I had to make sure water supply was enough for all officers and staff that involved with BPPC at 10th and 11 floor. We had dividend voucher checking at 10th floor and e-filing at 11th floor. I had to make sure that dividend numbering computer works and the e-filing ads working on 2 computers. That was on the 10th floor. Mostly my other friends in the bureau were very helpful.

When I mentioned that I work for this logistic bureau on weekdays, that didn't mean that I only work for BPPC. I had to do my main work as a finance clerk too. You know... like insurance, medical bill, money refund from staff, purchasing, flight fright, medical system, guarantee letter, collector statement and many more... I don't think I will list them all. So yes, I felt like a robot sometimes which I took order, my brain process and I did without giving excuse or mad about it. That doesn't mean I was not under pressure =)

Every weekend like Saturday and Sunday I worked too. I went to malls like Giant, Tesco and Tesco Extra for e-filing counter. I didn't help the tax payer as that wasn't my job, what I did was setup the computer, internet, tables, chairs, banner and prepared some pamphlet and forms too. From 8am - 10pm roughly. Glad to see tax payer smiled when doing the e-filing [even tho some did scold me just because they hate to pay tax -- but that's life... and I was happy as I know what is anger management, mmm take deep breath].

From Monday - Wednesday day time, I've been stationed at the lobby at form submitting box. Which it sounds simpler than the real work. Instead of showing the submitting form box, we had to check the forms, checked the envelope, solved some tax payer problems [not to mention how bad we got scold by them =)] and filtered them before let them go to other floor. We had 3 floors for BPPC event [level 3 - level 11 are our department of course but just some floors involve with this BPPC event] which 4th floor for stamping, taking form, open a tax file, checking status and refund, 10th floor for dividend checking and help on how to fill in the form correctly and 11th floor for e-filing and pin number. Ah those floors toilet, please don't mention. In the evening we sorted all forms based on their case. Yes, they were very tiring days. Food was supplied by the bureau... thats good right? ;)

The form submitting box

Yesterday was the last day and they closed counters quite late. The counters should be closed at 10pm but due to many tax payers that came late, we chose to open till late as well. See how good we are at Inland Revenue Board? We tried to help you guys the best we could.

I got a thank you from the branch director with what I've done for BPPC event. I smiled with proud and satisfaction. I don't need other things but a simple thank you =)

What I wanna show you here is the BPPC shirt ^_^

I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you happy Labour Day! I can feel this Labour Day celebration as a big appreciation for us... workers. =)

God bless... Amin...
